I was speaking to a mate the other day, he played WAFL league, was a pretty tough SOB and has a theory on why we are not and will not be successful until a few things change.
His theory is - while we have south freo and east freo people involved/working together at the club, we will never go anywhere.
He says the rivalry/hatred between these two clubs is so massive, that to have them involved together running a club will only lead to failure.
He thinks we need Freo people running the club, and the only thing that will make that happen is time.
I was thinking about it, but didnt know the numbers, does anyone know the make up of East V South people involved on the board etc.?
I think the theory has some merit, but need some stats.
I was relating this to whats happened yesterday and maybe, just maybe we now have more FREMANTLE people involved with the club, making hard nosed decisions for the club, not for self serving reasons to stick it up someone else.
I think this may be the making of the club, ridding it of the bickering South V East Shit. We Are Fremantle.
