I won't give out too much info as all will be revealed tomorrow..
I think it should be an interesting year ahead..
Would probably have Mt Waverley a clear favourite with most of the other teams pretty evenly matched..

From the dragons side think there best 22 is good enough to match it with anyone but depth could be a real problem this year.. I hope to be proven wrong tho..

Anyways good luck mate will seeya there tomorrow!

We at the Falcons got tested in a big way on the weekend by an excellent Emerald side
The two's fought well and went down by 3 goals in a high quality game.
The ones were missing 14 of what will be our starting 22, plus got at least 10 injuries during the game, including game enders to our ruckman, full back and centre half back and 2 of our starting mids.
It got so bad, both of our non playing coaches had to pull on the boots, plus many poor onlookers who just came to support. Ended up being beated very convincingly, but really dont think you can read too much into it.
Unfortunately, our injury list is now well past the 20 mark, many of them long termers, our depth will be sorely tested in the early rounds.
What i will say is that Emerald were unbelievable...if they dont win that comp's flag easily, that must be an amazingly strong comp.

Emerald wont win that comp... There are alot stronger sides in that div 2 league than them.

Not looking good for EH with that amount of injuries. I was talking to a mate that plays for Nyora, he said said that they would have had at least 50 shots on goal compared to EH 10.
This player used to play div 3 in the sfl, and in his opinion said they will struggle in a big way.

I hope he is wrong, we need all sides to be competitive to make the div as strong as possible. The only way we will find out is in a couple of weeks when round 1 starts.

Any news on the lyndale vs eley park praccy game?

eley park easily. from all reports lyndale arent looking as strong as people have been reporting. may even struggle to make finals. mount, cobras and moorabbin are looking like the sides to beat

Nyora smashed us, which was always going to happen. It was our first game as a group. I think what suprised us most was the pace and skills of Nyora.

Where would Nyora and Emerald place if they were playing Division 3? . . I would have thought they'd take out the comp easily.

We'll soon see what the Falcons are made of come round one against Moorabbin, speaking of Moorabin.. haven't heard too much about them.. how have their praccy games gone?

and another thing to note, a fair few guys including myself down at the Falcons haven't played for a year or two, so a few more games under our belt and we'll soon get it all back! :D

I see us placing around fourth or fifth.

Think nyora and emerald would easily take out div 3 country footy is way better standard then the sfl properly divy 1 standard. In saying that mount and the cobras are easy favorites.

Moorabin won't be much of a threat losing a few quality players and not regaining many. Going to miss mimo bad.

Heard lyndale was playing with 10 senior players out of the side so that would be interesting on dept of the side.

Should know where everyone stands come round 5 or 6 but by the looks of it mount should be clear favorites. With the cobras a potential contender, and the rest to scrap it out.

Tell that to Mount Waverley...

what are you saying here daniel. you trying to indicate that mount are as soft as butter as they have failed to win the last one in september. cobras v mount might be interesting 2 watch now. they might come at you personally with some aggression. can you cope, or will you shurk it.

No mate, not disrespecting mount at all, just saying that it aint that easy to win any premierhip. Mount have been the best side for the last 3 years and have always been around the mark. Yet havent got the ultimate glory. Anything can happen on the day. I never said thy were soft, i dont know too much about them cause i am new to this div. I cant wait to play them as they have been the benchmark for quite a few years.
