Well we've done the "Who we don't want" so how about a "Who you think we'll get".

One proviso - selections must be in BEFORE Cal Twomeys phantom next week.

Me

Pick 7 - Smillie

Pick 8 & 32 traded to GWS for 15,16 & 56

Pick 15 - Lindsay

Pick 16 - Shanahan

Pick 47 - Cole

Pick 56 - Hoffman

Rookie - Peckett

I think you're pretty spot on there! I've got the boys for picks 15 and 16 the same as you.

I just think we'll pick Reid or even a wildcard like Bo Allan instead of Smillie with our pick 7.

Do we have 1 or 2 more picks after pick 56? I reckon there'll need to be some capacity for Dalrymple to pick out some gems with later picks.

Pick #7 - H Langford
Pick #8 - T Travaglia
Pick #32 - X Ivisic
Pick #47 - A Cole
Pick #80 - L Hofmann
Pick #88 - A Riddle

Vic Country would have been undefeated champions if the umpire had not paid a free kick and 50m penalty in the last seconds that gave Vic Metro the match. In my view the Vic Metro players have inflated draft credentials compared to Vic Country. By drafting the best available Vic Country recruits we are getting better value for our drafting dollar.

I think Langford could be the leader of our midfield for a very long time, and Travaglia brings the speed we require from half back, eventually participating in midfield rotations. Ivisic is an underrated outside player who may not be a need, but might be best available (unless Trainor is still on the board). Cole and Hofmann both exhibit qualities we desire and Riddle is in my view a talented bottom aged Ruckman from WA.

7. Langford
8. Lindsay
Trade F1 for #16 or #18
16. Trainor
32. Sims/Gerryn
47. Hofmann
80. Cole
Rookie: Blakiston
Cat B rookie: Peckett

Depending on who slides to #7 will change who or what we do with #8. I went Lindsay at #8 to bring in some more outside speed and elite kicking. I would be happy with Shanahan @ #16 also. If we are keen on Lindsay I cant see him getting past Freo & WCE if we were to split pick #8. If we do split pick #8 then Reid & Trainor might be the options.

The other consideration if we take Travaglia at #8, I think that highlights we might be concerned at losing NWM next year.
