Box Office wise, about half a mil behind TLJ in Oz for first day. $6.4m compared to around $7m.

Thought the gap could have been bigger based on the negativity around the SW brand but perhaps Baby Yoda has resurrection powers!

I think it’ll pick up, I just think people aren’t going to the movies as much.

That doesn't mean he fixed all the issues with the ST, and by sweeping it under the rug he made the entire trilogy jarringly inconsistent. Are people that petty that they smile and gobble up shit just because a movie they don't like got undone?

I really enjoyed it and think it's the best of the new trilogy and better than a couple of the prequels.

I would have liked a couple of things to go differently at the end but I think they still did a decent job with it.

RJ made the trilogy jarringly inconsistent all he had to do was connect the setups that Abrams left in TFA but instead he said "fck it" and made his own film. JJ had a very tough job to pick up the train wreck that was TLJ and make episode 9 and it sufferd because of it

Enough negativity from me:

- Humour really landed with me, there weren't many jokes I didn't laugh at.
- 3POs best movie since ANH, had some fantastic moments.
- Dynamic between our Holy Trinity - I mean, uh, trio (sorry Jack) - was fantastic.
- Lando was fantastic and felt like the most consistent with his OT character from our returning cast.
- Pyre was also awesome as a First Order commander.

The illuminated red eyes when translating the Sith script was pretty creepy. Thought he was going to turn into evil C3P0 for a sec there.

Kylo's face scar was in the wrong place for starters.

I don't disagree with what you're saying, but RJ clearly took a few of the concepts JJ had for the series and discarded them entirely, leaving very little for JJ to work with.

Again, i'd love to hear RJ talk about the episode 9 that he would have made, given he clearly had a very different vision for it. I watched TLJ back the evening before I went to see ROS, and I will say the stupid low speed chase and Canto Bight sequences bothered me a lot less than they did when I first saw it, they just seemed like more of a side story.

So, I just got back from seeing it, and well overriding emotion at this stage is likely anger. Star Wars: Really Obnoxious Shit.

This trilogy, for me, is summed up by conjuring exploding shit.

Sure, TFA+TROS "flow" with TLJ as the ugly red headed stepchild no one really wants to note exists, but all it flows into is rivers of shit and all you have is "well two out three is OK?" and the anser is a hard no.

Leia getting the Luke treatment then the uterus push in retrospect is friggen hilarious, maybe she can strangle baby Luke in the womb to really drive it home that a dick is bad unless you're directing this abortion of a trilogy in which case it's a goddamn requirement. Maz can GAGF with that pandering bullshit on lack of balls in anything resembling a story twist or impact of any description, because stuffed if I know what the shit any of them were doing if all we had to do was wait for captain friggen planet to get off his fat arse for a cameo and the rest of the known universe to go "oh hey, we kinda exist outside this sandbox" so Lando can swindle the bolts of a droids undergarments, Cloud City and the Disneyverse making this the Lando trilogy because the rest of them failed miserably.

Maybe we can do a list of dudes with capes who seem to have an uncanny ability to swoon masses of sheeple in dire need.

The highlight: I was in aircon, and it was still 42 outside and all it cost was $11, almost the amount of people in the session I was in.

Borderline that Solo was a better film and that is utter garbage.

At the end, her face is all scratched up, her clothes are ragged and dirty. As she walks through the rebel base during the celebration she looks like crap.

At least she stopped doing the constipated bitchface to try and look conflicted/angry/contemplated/focused/totally not batshit crazy speaking to herself out loud like nobody can hear her and everything is fine.

Perhaps instead of ScarJo, she should be BlackWidow considering that kiss. EAD Ben, forever alone, no wonder you're a whiney angsty teen. Also;
