Wow, are those really how the sponsors look on the Glenelg and West Adelaide jumpers?
West Adelaide have a new clash. Black sash on red background. Simple and classy.
I've been thinking for a while that, once my exams are finished, I'll do a footyjumpers style collection of SANFL jumpers. Just the home ones to start with though. I've actually got a load of historic images of SANFL but if anyone wants to give me a hand with the whole project, shout to me.
Yes, it's kind of intrusive but at least it hasn't reached WAFL proportions (yet).
Here's some real life pics of the cool clashes in the SANFL.
West Adelaide's (simple inverse of home): It looks incredible when worn against Port Adelaide at night. It works very well, it removes the clash with Norwood, unlike the 2012 SANFL grand final which was a nightmare to watch (see video)
South Adelaide's (thick hoops, similar but not the same as Geelong. their home is similar to Carlton's but with a different monogram): And doesn't it look good in contrast to Woodville-West Torrens!
Norwood have a simple inverse of home but with a monogram on top. It looks fantastic, I'll find an image of it later, maybe.
WWT, Sturt, Centrals, Port, North and Glenelg don't have clash jumpers as far as I'm aware, unfortunately.
north adelaide do have a clash/away jumper View attachment 19487
This one? Yeah, I forgot, my bad. Not sure they've worn it this year yet.
But they do have an awesome logo. Seriously, it's awesome.
I think both South and North wear their clash/away jumpers primarily as an advertisement - so more people will buy a replica of it and therefore raising revenue, which would explain why South wear it against WWT and why North wear it at all.no NA havent wore it this year i personally dont see the point of it red does not clash with anyone
Yeah I guess but I don't really think having the 3 thick stripes link to much with their history. There are a obviously a lot more stripes and a different shade of blue (or it might just the quality of drawing). I feel if the club wanted to have a historical clash guernsey, they could have done a little bit more to recognise the history.I think both South and North wear their clash/away jumpers primarily as an advertisement - so more people will buy a replica of it and therefore raising revenue, which would explain why South wear it against WWT and why North wear it at all.
Smartys Power, I prefer the current South clash because it has historical links. Look at this image: it's from 1905 and what South used to wear. It's a mix between a heritage guernsey and a clash guernsey, and it looks good.
Do you mean some thing like this (discount the socks - woops)Yeah I guess but I don't really think having the 3 thick stripes link to much with their history. Most current South Adelaide supporters believe that the SA monogram is the history of the club and if they wanted a clash guernsey, the white with the blue SA was the best option in my opinion.
Below is a standard wafl Jumper, personally I don't think that the sponsors pollute the jumper half as much as SANFL ones do
I don't think Sturt (sky blue) Centrals (royal with red and white hoops) or North (red top, white shorts) clash with anyone else in the league. North red shorts vs Central and you're set. Port and Glenelg should have one. I herd Glenelg was going to have one this year - heratige-ish guernsey, yellow with a black hoop - but it never eventuated.WWT, Sturt, Centrals, Port, North and Glenelg don't have clash jumpers as far as I'm aware, unfortunately.

the westies ones are reversible with the home on the other side right?
i was adding in the hoops as a sign of heritage and not just a plain white jumper
