Maybe that's the idea, that the Eagles invaded Easth Perth in an unprofessional manner?

So they'd just purposely show that to give the Royals supporters absolute grief? o_O
That sounds absolutely painful for the fans.

Mate the royals sold their soul to the Eagles and aligned with them against the other 7 clubs wishes. As did Peel Thunder with the Dockers.
The club formaly known as east perth are run by the Eagles, the Eagles pay their coach and the entire list of Eagles play for them. You can imagine how that went down with the other clubs.

Port Melbourne have added the special 140th year logo to the front of the iconic blue and red striped guernsey for this year. Cannot wait to buy one!

It's pretty cluttered up the top to begin with, I hate that bright orange logo under the enormous VFL one, and that they are both in big white boxes. Avoided replacing my old jumper for ages because of the older, cleaner VFL logo. It's fairly good, but I'll admit I'm glad it's not a permanent change.

The sixth league-wide instalment of NAIDOC Round is coming up over the next fortnight.

Changes this year are at Claremont (9/10), East Fremantle (6/10) and West Perth (3/10).

Somehow the 'Burley with painted wooden things' on the Peel jumper (also seen on the back of the original NAIDOC jumpers of C and SF) has become the pawprint of a dingo. He might want to see a vet.

The twin-boomerang 'offence defence' is a nice narrative... the first time I read it. 3 clubs use it, turn it up guys.

Subiaco seem pretty happy with theirs, not only is the design (which I do like) unchanged for 6 years now, the same physical jumpers from 2009 are still used - with the old Sekem bar collar, striped cotton collars/cuffs, garish State Government-approved billboard and ironed-over sponsors. And that's why you can't buy one.

Note the difference between West Perth neatly tucking away their sponsors to the left for this game, and East Perth plonking Tint-A-Car not only in the middle, but over the actual design. Some things never change. I saw the Royals guernsey in action last year and you literally cannot see the design from over 2 metres away.

I still don't understand what Swans are going for.

West Perth NAIDOC jumper looked like someone had dropped a bucket of green paint on it from where I was sitting yesterday. It's going to be worse next week though for International round image.jpg

That could honestly be the worst professional jumper I have ever seen, for a number of reasons. It is so wrong on so many levels.
Embarrassingly, it will be broadcast on TV.

I agree. It's embarrassing being a West Perth supporter to watch them play in such a horrible kit.it was apparently designed by a Primary school student though,so cut them some slack.

Not sure why they don't just wear the Union Jack jumper again if they want a multi-cultural jumper. At least that looked semi-decent.
There was a huge uproar by the traditional WP supporter base that are for want of a better word "wogs" (Greek, Italian, Yugoslavs etc) . They believed the union jack Guernsey was an insult to all the traditional garlic muncher crowd that West Perth have been known for the last 80 years.

Except this one still has a huge Union Jack splashed across the sash, so will there still be uproar from the garlic munchers?

Yes, the union Jack one was so controversial as it was one country, the last two have at least added other flags. These are in order of percentage of residents in West perths catchment area
1) United Kingdom – Birthplace of 18% of Cities of Joondalup & Wanneroo Population (~54000 residents)
2) New Zealand – Birthplace of 3.5% of Cities of Joondalup & Wanneroo Population (~10000 residents)
3) South Africa – Birthplace of 3.2% of Cities of Joondalup & Wanneroo Population (~9500 residents)
4) Vietnam – Birthplace of 1% of Cities of Joondalup & Wanneroo Population (~3000 residents)
5) Ireland – Birthplace of 1% of Cities of Joondalup & Wanneroo Population (~3000 residents)
6) India – Birthplace of 0.9% of Cities of Joondalup & Wanneroo Population (~2700 residents)
7) Zimbabwe – Birthplace of 0.8% of Cities of Joondalup & Wanneroo Population (~2500 residents)
8) Malaysia – Birthplace of 0.7% of Cities of Joondalup & Wanneroo Population (~2000 residents)

First facebook response to the Guernsey on West Perths facebook was
Where's the italian flag 90% of falcons supporters are Italians !!

Response by Club
West Perth Football ClubIf you read the content of the article Joseph it goes on to explain the rationale behind the selection of the flags on the jumper. We are not forgetting our heritage - hence the recent Garlic Munchers Cup - however acknowledging the current population within our District.
