State of Origin Best 22's

I thought it would be entertaining to create a "State of Origin" team for the three main footballing states, VIC, SA and WA and a fourth I will call All-Stars or AS.

Firstly I created short-lists of notable players from each club and then assigned positions.

Feel free to debate positional and player selections, however I have been working off the players listed junior clubs in their bio's so their may be some inaccuracies to state of origin.

Also have included injured players, as this is an exercise in fantasy, might as well presume they are fit.

The HB flanks for the WA team are attrocious. Isn't Duffield from WA? If so he is clearly a better player than either of the two listed. Harry Taylor also a better player than either. Hell Hargrave is better than those two.

Liam Anthony should probably be in the team. Wells is a better player than Bateman. Joel Corey is probably the best midfielder from WA and didn't even make the 22?

WA Rucks >>> Everyone else combined. Clark, Ryder, Cox, NicNat and Sandi ftmfw

Pretty sure Enright and Ottens are South Australian?

Lucky that Goodes qualifies under the "Carey Rule".

lol @ 'Hardbrow'

Am happy to accept criticism IF people offer alternatives.

Seriously, you could just suggest something like "take Cassisi out, put Rich in" much more constructive and can provide for a debate over the merits of each player, but when people just complain about omissions without stating what they will change you are just whining.

Also this took several hours (needed to get my mind off uni) so I was always going to make mistakes

Clit Jones should start in the square, whos Van Berlo? Drop him.

Joel Corey is a WA boy, and I'd suggest he'd slot into that midfield. Harry Taylor also a WA boy, and would DEFINITELY slot into that backline.

Top effort by the way mate.

Corey's from WA? whoops

Genuine lol's at the West Coast supporters whinging about no Naitanui. Open your eyes he clearly wouldn't deserve a spot in the best 22 in the WA team.

Any coach would select him as well as Sandilands and Cox.

He is 10th on the AFLCA Player of the Year leaderboard. Sandilands is 1st. Cox is well back.
