Well that draws to a close the Series XV edition of Sweet FA State of Origin, with the concept receiving huge support and the tournament itself has been an extremely successful one, with over 120 players signing up and contributing week on week to a brilliant month of State of Origin qooty.

Thank you to Ant Bear for your free reign and your support of this series, allowing us to take charge of the series and make it a reality. State of Origin looks like it's here to stay.

Big thank you also to Dingster, Barrybran, JoshWoodenSpoon, Hate, NaturalDisaster, Ljp86, spookism, ClarkeM and Tarkyn_24 for helping to make Series XV the success that it has proven to be.

Vic Metro​

The rampant Vic Metro side, led by first time State of Origin skipper NaturalDisaster really did blitz the competition during the last month of representative qooty, only dropping a single game against the Allies in Round 5 once their Grand Final berth had been sealed. With an average winning margin of 30.25 points per game and an unbeaten record at home, with 3 wins from their 3 matches at the MCG, this has been one of the most powerful displays of State of Origin qooty in recent memory. Their 16 point win against the reigning champions South Australia is just their second series win, and in an all conquering Series XV, they not only won the title, but also scooped the pool in the awards.

Tony Lynn 15​

Tony Lynn 15 was crowned the Series XV MVP, with his two back to back best on ground performances in Rounds 2&3 sealing his victory. Finishing on 6 votes, ahead of runner ups Loonerty and Callums_Guns on 5 votes apiece. Tony enjoyed a brilliant series, the highlight of which being his dismantling of the WA midfield in Round 2 at the MCG, his 24 touches, equal game high 6 tackles and a goal backed up by another 21 disposal effort against the Allies in round 3, getting Metro off to the perfect start for their series, as they stormed their way to a much deserved Series win.

The S22 EKA winner and returning star, tgrs, made a fairytale return to qooty in Series XV, as he spearheaded the dominant Vic Metro side all the way through the series, his 6 goals against South Australia yesterday lifting Metro to a famous 16 point victory in the final. His 21 goals from 4 games seeing him win the goalkicking for the series, 3 ahead of Allies runner up BRAB finishing on 18. Kicked a bag against Vic Country in Round 4 after being moved to full forward, his 8 goals proved the difference in a win that set up their series and saw them earn a berth in the decider.

Across the series, there were some great individual performances, with new Bombers recruit cadsky looking set for a big season at Baghdad, while S28 EKA Medallist, the Bears' AuntyBlindEye looks set to possibly move into the ruck at Las Vegas on the back of an impressive tournament here, and Dees veteran cooney looks in ominous form early.

South Australia can consider themselves bitterly unlucky to not go back to back, after a huge effort to make it to two consecutive Grand Finals, ultimately fallling just short of defending their title. The Allies suffered through a series they would rather forget, while Vic Country will be ruing what could have been, and Western Australia would be encouraged by winning both of their home games and snapping their 10 game losing streak.

Looking forward to bringing back State of Origin even bigger and better for Series XVI.

Heading into the Christmas and New Year period, as we know, Australia was ravaged by one of the most harrowing bushfire seasons in memory, with large swathes of the east coast especially, destroyed in the fires, as hundred of Australians lost their homes, their communities and their livelihoods, not to mention the estimated half a billion native animals that perished in the horrendous conditions, and tragically, a number of firies even paid the ultimate price to protect the lives of others.

The Sweet FA have always rallied behind a cause, and in conjunction with our State of Origin series, as you know we put together a bushfire appeal to donate funds to Australian Red Cross to help support our fellow Aussies.

I'd like to thank everyone from the bottom of my heart who has donated to our appeal, we started with a target of $1000 and over the course of the past fortnight, we have raised up to today, an incredible $2,495.68.

We're currently working on a badge with Chief at the moment for all those who donate, as a thank you to those who have given so generously.

We still have pledges to come rolling in now the series has wrapped up, so let's make good on those pledges and that should see our total hit a whopping $3000
