Roast Statement on Umpires

The thing with Foot is that ever since the first game he umpired, a Friday night game against the Tigers, he has absolutely crucified us. I don't usually care about umpires and believe that it is a swings and roundabouts type of thing but with this guy it seems personal against the Saints. He goes out of his way to find decisions when they aren't there against us (the McKenzie "high" tackle the worst of the lot for me today but there were so many to choose from) and loves letting play go when we get an offence done against us.

The guy is an absolute joke in the way he treats us. I encourage people - if they don't believe it - to specifically watch this bloke umpire our games and then come back and say with a straight face that he doesn't have something against our club.

It's swings and roundabouts with most clubs. But West Coast (along with probably North) have always gotten a great run, and we've been incredibly unlucky, or undisciplined.

Surely whoever hit Webster is under report? Straight off then shortly subbed? And it wasn't even 50... What an absolute disgrace that was. No defence for that decision, it was a bloody cheap shot and he watched it and let it go.

Was a joke. You hear him somehow justifying "it was in the contest" to not give a 50 while Jimmy is going off under the blood rule concussed. Foot thinking that wasn't worthy of a 50 is his bias on full display there.

I promise you Jimmy suffered a delayed concussion from the Yeo hit, Alan knows that and was far from impressed at the incident and even less impressed by our players reaction to it at Half Time.

I was surprised at seeing him say that. Richo is old school in a lot of ways, trying to limit tribunal damage for Eagles maybe.

Jimmy didn't show signs of concussion when he came off, you can have your teeth rattled without being concussed. After he went back on he started to feel foggy, definitely delayed onset.

Jimmy looked like a guy that had just had his nose broken not like someone with a concussion. He gets up pretty quickly and jogs from the ground while holding the rag to his face.

The quickest way to get the fans back. IMPROVE THE STANDARD OF UMPIRING.

Today was utterly disgusting. Even my wife who never ever complains about the officiating couldn't believe their incompetence.

Jack Steven was the only one who remonstrated with Yeo. At least 3 others were much closer than Jack & did nothing.
