Wear this and pretend you work for Carlton.
Hearing that Carlton have managed to organise a family day to coincide with this game

Hawks practice match with Blues ain't happening anymore

That's a shame. I was walking past the ground last night for the first time in a few months and the entire southern grandstand has been demolished. There is some viewing possibilities through the hoarding; I was thinking of timing my work break to the match and see what I could (like a street urchin peering into a shop window really). Now no need to arbitrage the timing! :(

So now Day is "more unlikely than likely" for Round 1, but is at least running.

I hope worst case is he is back at least for Round 2. I'd be hoping we could get 20 games into Day this season.
As long as he's heathy for finals I'l settle for 15 games :moustache:

Are we really surprised by this? If players haven't participated in any of the main-group training by mid-Feb they're not exactly a sure-thing for Round 1 selection.

When he wasn't back in full training by the start of Feb I wasn't expecting to see him line up for round 1.

Thankfully there's plenty of competition for spots in all the positions he has or would be expected to play. So we can afford to take our time with our best young player.

By the end of the season I'm quietly hoping Day has a lot of competition for the mantle of best young player.
