Yer agree, particularly hard for afl players when you have to do 50km a week in running, the amount of food you will have to eat to put on that muscle is hard to.

It’s why Ned long is pretty impressive to have the size he has at 18 with the running power, strong base
Also why Petracca is such a freak.

To be able to carry 97kg of muscle and still make contest after contest is really quite amazing from an athletic standpoint alone.

Genetics hey!

Yer his got some serious assets, the fact he can dunk to at his size and height is impressive - we have a few players that will get in his way now though

Only two at this stage, both from Box Hill - Fergus Greene and James Blanck.

James Blanck was a good full back for Eastern a couple years back, might be a chance if we're looking for an extra KPD?

we should be looking out to see if these guys are available:

Morgan Ferres - SA med forw
Josh Browne - WA mid
Kade Dittmar - WA mid/forw (WCE Trial atm)
Charlie Molan - GWV hbf
Oscar Morrison - Geel KPD
Lewis Rayson - SA hbf
Ronaldo Fejo Jnr - SA hbf (Ess Trial atm)

Does anybody see Lewis playing as the second ruck? I wonder if Hale being back at the club, and the fact that Lewis has bulked up, might see him take the ruck duties from time to time? His best game this year coincidentally came against the Bulldogs when he played in the ruck. There are times when Lewis goes long periods without having any impact as a forward, but playing him in the ruck would be a great way to get him into the game a bit more.

Greene is a player I hope that gets the final list spot. Looking back at his 2021 VFL season.

10 games - 29 goals - 18 behinds = 4.7 scoring shots per game

:eyes:
Seems a good pickup if we don’t think Gunston will play many games with his back. I’m not sure the two could play together in the forward fifty.

In an ideal world....Yes

But does he have enough go in him to crash bodies week after week. Not sure. It's a big year for him. If he comes on it would be a huge win. Fingers crossed.

I agree, I would like to see it. Think he could do a good job of it. Just not sure he has the body size/strength to do it just yet.

Looks like James Parsons is training with us
