Hawker08,

Which (if any) of these pictures are of Jack Gunston, Brad Hill and Jordan Kelly?

Plenty of Hill and Kelly. Gunston was a bit more elusive, but gee he looked good during skill and practice sessions

Hill (with ball) and Kelly http://sunnycoast.shutterfly.com/pictures/9#24

Also check out pics 52,55,59 in album at bottom called Hawks Training SC
Gibbo is also taking a hanger on Kelly top right on main page

Hawks had last session today at Fish Park. Photos added. http://http://sunnycoast.shutterfly.com/

Hodgey and Boumann weren't there but wouldn't be concerned. Great to see Sewell, Young and Burger join the practice match after missing the first few days.

Players hit the track pretty hard running 200m-1000m intervals. Match simulation again was excellent with players playing pretty much where they did last season. Of the new players, Kelly back, Hill outside mid, Frank forward, Woodward in the guts.
On a side note Puopolo was 90% forward at match simulation sessions

Track stars: Shiels(pup), Hill (This bloke gave a few wind burn, can run) and Bruce

Match Stars: Rioli (Have something each way on Charlie), he's flying, Buddy, Mitch and Gibbo. No surprises there. Special mentions to Shiels, Gunston, Goo, Puopolo and Suckling (playing "quarter back")

Of the newbies, Hill was impressive, knows how to get out on his own and I doubt many will catch or keep up with him. Kelly linked well off halfback and Woody got some clean ball in the middle. Be shocked if Hill doesn't play NAB.

Look forward to adding a bit of video shortly plus I'll give a one liner on each player.

Sunny Coast Summary

1. Big Max: Looks ready to make further improvement. Best ruck by far
2. Roughy: Starting to run, completed plenty of cross training. Round 1 ???
3. Lewis: Looks in great nick. Will play big role again
4: Matt Suckling: Quarter Back, lock it in
5: Mitch: Didn't miss a beat, great leader
6: Gibbo: Backline General
7: Ossie: Was typical Ossie, hard at it, leading by example
8: Ellis: Hopefully big year ahead, Will appreciate cooler climate
9: Burgoyne: All Class, not sure about left knee bandage, moved OK though
10. Bateman: Modified program, did enough to suggest full fit for start
11. Young: Moved freely played in middle at match practice. Looks bigger.
12. Sewell: Professional
13. Cheney: Bigger than I thought, did some nice things down back.
14. Birchall: Mr Reliable
15. Hodge: A class act. Just makes good decisions
16. Smith: Modified program, bike, boxing, no heavy running. May be rested NAB
17. Bruce: Joined late, shows great leadership, looks fit
18. Guerra: Will play a big role down back again, great kick. Rug stayed on in ocean.
19. Gunston: New boy can play, lock for round 1 IMO
20. Hale: Monster, plays his role well. His rug seemed to cope with the heat.
21. Savage: Clearly not right, modified program big time.
22. Breust: Quiet achiever, must be nervous about Gunna.
23. Buddy: Huge, Freak, Brownlow
24. Stratts: Looks well over injury, no bandage to be seen, wish he was taller
25. Schoe: I'm not convinced, looks undersized but hope a break out year.
26. Shiels: Quiet achiever, fit and ready to go.
27. Gilham: Looking big, Modified program but moving freely. Rd1?
28. Puopolo: Look out, big season ahead. Will play forward
29 Murph: Real leader out on track. Looks ready.
30 Lowden: Not as big as I'd hoped. Can't sees him playing unless Max goes down
31. Boumann: Like what I saw but he's no Gorilla
32. Hill: X Factor, could be special, skills need developing, boy can he run.
33. Rioli: Will share Brownlow with Franklin. Massive in shoulders now. Middle? YYEESSS
34. Kelly: Not big but looks a smart player, will be kept in cotton wool me thinks.
35. Grimley: Still looks 2 years away but good mover, not convinced he'll get there.
36. Woody: Solid fella who could play in 2012 but don't expect it. Has the body.
37. Whitecross: Definitely not right, modified program
38. Hallahan: Big unit for his age, in and under player, not quick but can find it. Fitness?
40. McCauley: Quite mobile and skilful. Great back up
41 Duryea: Didn't notice much but needs a big 2012 to stay
42 Lithers: Can play, very mobile, expect some NAB games for sure.
43. Frank Quick but will take time, nowhere near fit enough.
44: Boseley. Looks a good project type. Cotton wool for sure
45 Schneider: Bulked up big time. Hope he gets a chance,
46: Wanga: X factor plus but think Frank has him
47. Patto: Slotted in well, not convinced he'll push his way in unless injury hits us hard
48: Langers: Not as big as dad unfortunately, King of the waves, great leap but pulled up sore today. Both groins iced, straight on the anti inflams.

Brilliant Stuff Hawker08. Hope Whitecross and Savage come good would be disappointing for them to be injury interrupted in 2012 after staking a claim this year.

Just being picky now...... Langford? :)

35. Grimley: Still looks 2 years away but good mover, not convinced he'll get there.

Absolutely awesome report Hawker08, cant thankyou enough.
Unfortunately I share your concerns about these two, really hope I am wrong, particulalry about Schoey.

Yeah just noticed the photo of Hill.

Is that Litherland with the big round tatt on his chest and if so what is it? It looks like a storm trooper.

Good to see Ruff doesn't feel the peer pressure to take his shirt off.

Not in the best interests of the club - I was shocked that Ellis had his off (bet he is paying for it today). If they are anything like me, then 10 minutes in the sun and you have third degree burns, dehydration and hospitalisation for a week :eek: - okay maybe 1/2hr tops.

Hawker08, I like your comments about each player, esp. 23 & 33.

Cheers Dinsdale, was good to meet you at Fish Park, last session video just uploaded.

My young fella got an early xmas present, which I'll never be able to match.
At the end of the session Buddy walked up to him signed his boots and handed them to him....size 14!!!! Left his socks in them too.
