Pretty good looking team overall but the players coming back from injuries in defence is definitely a problem. May need to downgrade Ablett and Goddard, free up some cash and get some more reliable players in there.

Mids and Rucks are both good but might have to rethink the forwardline reserves with Franklin suspended round 1... same problem as me.

Think your team is looking good, i would probably avoid patrenko for that price you can get ladson or hunt who are prob better options

also i would downgrade mumford to lobbe/trengrove no need to spend that much on your ruck bench use the extra cash to upgrade either mclean or kerr or possibly both to someone who is a better option

Impressive side..

Like your backline, if ladson is fit is a steal.
Waite's a risk, but if ready for round 1 hopefully should pay off.

2 rookies in your midfield is another risk, but it is a strategy i have had with a couple of drafts. Both should see plenty of game time.

Ruck combo great.

Your forward line has nice balance. Rohan is the only concern, but with Davis and Tapscott you think one of them would play.

One of the more impressive teams i've seen.

I think you summed it up well.

2 playing rookies in the backline is murder.
Charman is a concern
Chapmand gets injured
Watts, even if not a spud, still it a key forward prospect in his second year. I would steer clear this year.

I reckon downgrade at least one of your mids, prolly chappy as well, and try to funnel that cash into upgrading those 4 deficiencies. Even if it's something as simple as Sylvia to Trengove, Chappy to Sylvia and then using that cash.

Backs: could get burnt with greenwood, shoenmakers and rance in there, at least one to make way for malceski/hunt/ladson.

mids: very good mids. will score high, with ablett, swan and cooney in there. trengrove and martin should rise in value, where you could then get another premium.

rucks: very good rucks, bit expensive consdiering your backline though.

Fwds: solid first fews forwards, polkinghorne and reimers could end up being a couple of 0's and costing you a couple of early season trades.

Could work on the depth a bit, as some of your on field starters will not be in the best 22 of their clubs.

Your backline is a little weak..
I'd replace walker with Martin, and then put somebody like Luke Shuey on the bench.
This will free up approx $170,000.
Add that to you 95K and upgrade a defender, possibly broadbent to a hurn or Fisher, which should still leave you with about 95K

IMO there are too many injury clouds in my team and too many players who i am not sure will play enough games - Will have a close look at NAB cup!

I think you're forward is too expensive, maybe downgrade Chapman or Riewoldt for someone much cheaper like Pavlich or another for just under $500k. Kreuzer is a bit pricey considering I had him last year and he rarely gets over 110, so use Ottens or upgrade him. Probably downgrade Ziebell for someone around $250k and use the money to upgrade Burgoyne and Kennelly. Goddard is 50-50 because gets good points and is a keeper but he'll come down in price at some stage and an extra $100k can upgrade another player for a better spread. Hope that helps mate.

This is my 2nd year of Supercoach and I'm looking to win our Safeway league and hopefully go top 10,000 this year. Team so far:

At least 3 keepers in each of the main positions and with $68,900 left over I should be set for the first 3 rounds. Rucks are a risk but Ottens' massive 175 last year was a sign he can play well - a score of 3 ruined his 3 game average. Hille should be right to be replaced by Warnock or Lobbe if in doubt but last year I looked to upgrade to a premium based on a few games of form.

There's a fair amount of risk in that squad mate, but if you can get your rookies right, you'll go alright.
