This was a game where Judd could have Willed his side across the line much like Swan did Saturday afternoon. But no Dud Judd failed again, leading by example he had 8 Clangers.

Is he still "The Champ" now?

Come back and talk when cheap stats get you one of these.

that was when juddy was in a good team
now his a washed up hack in a team of pretenders

They're not a 10 goal worse side anymore. Will be a great contest in Round 22 if both sides are still in form.
I doubt it. We'll be on top of the ladder, and at least 1 game clear by then, so we'll probably be resting a good proportion of our stars for the finals. The hawks will probably win that game, but it'll be the last game we lose fo rthe year.

Nope Geelong and Hawks will crush your pitiful team as will we but that is generally expected.

Why rest your stars 1 week earlier than normal?

Reputation is about the past and performance is more about the present. On that basis, Gary Ablett and Chris Judd have undoubtedly got far greater reputations than Swan.

In 2010, I would think Swan has been more productive than either. The sticking point of course is that Ablett and Judd have been heavily tagged every week for most of their careers, and they have still been the competition's benchmark midfielders.

Could you imagine the damage they would do if given the freedom that Swan enjoys every week?

Until he gets the opposition seal-of-approval as the first Magpie tag, then Swan will remain a very good player - and maybe even a Brownlow Medallist.

But he will never be the equal of Ablett or Judd until he receives and conquers the hard tag.

Spot on.

No, I just think he has to get tagged before he can earn the kind of reputation Judd earned at West Coast.

Judds work this year is up there with 2006, it is clear from the statistics that this is the case. Also destroyed geelong in first half if you want evidence of his still very real game turning abilities.

 You mean in terms of how many possessions he is getting? He's not half the player he was in the past.

Also destroyed geelong in first half if you want evidence of his still very real game turning abilities.

And then he got a tag and had 7 more possessions in the second half.

Swan doesn't get tagged because if you tag Swan then Didak gets a free run, and the tag hurts Dids more than Swan. Coaches don't tag Swan also because he burns them off. So no point claiming he needs to cop a hard tag to prove himself.

He went missing against St Kilda and Geelong last September because.......

THE TOTALS
Luke Hodge (Hawthorn) 83
Dane Swan (Collingwood) 78
Brendon Goddard (St Kilda) 74
Aaron Sandilands (Fremantle) 65
Lenny Hayes (St Kilda) 59
Gary Ablett (Geelong) 58
Michael Barlow (Fremantle) 54

Where exactly is that squib Judd on these lists lately?

Smoking it as usual squibinator?

Is that the number of times beaten by Judd in a contest?

That would explain why he is not on the list.

Chuck your rattle did you?

Swan has never destroyed Geelong. How many possies in last years prelim 15? 16?
It was 17, and one of the few times he's racked up less than 25 against Geelong. Is that the best you've got? 1 bad game? Judd has dozens of those since joining Carlton. I wonder why that is, he was a gun at WCE. What have you pricks done to him?
Goes missing when it gets tough, should stick to king hitting citizens when they aren't looking.
Last Saturday was a big game for us, very important. He wasn't missing then.
