The first two finals have once again shown what finals footy is all about: pressure. Richmond brought a lot of it last night, crows the same the night before. It's not always pretty, but it's what gets the biscuits in big games.

Pressure, contested footy? Mmmmmm, there's a side I know who tries to play that kind of game every week...

40 points up by half time is my feeling as we are really good now at game preparation which is often why we hit the scoreboard in a hurry & we have the ability to adjust accordingly when it doesn't quite go our way early. We then reset ourselves at half time & do the same in third quarters.

With all due respect to Essendon, they will be out of their depth today.
We have the best defence in the land & perhaps the best midfield. They'll have their work cut out to stay with us.

Essendon 64 (Window dressing at the end with some junk goals)

That really made me laugh. For some unaccountable reason, I have no Essendon mates (my bookie is no mate). If you are in Melbourne go to a Clarendon St pub, but tell your mate not to wear red and black and to remain very quiet.
