Not long now till game day lads!

Its time to show the deplorable demons and WaLkEr_ThE_StAr that the Gumbies are the best team.

Our run starts now and WTS will be wanting to make a mid-season return to the team he loved only fr us to tell him to piss off because hes a Judas, and we dont like Judas player's at our club.

I would say that leaving your club by choice makes you more of a Judas than being delisted and joining another club.

Didn't bag the club from what I've seen, so we welcomed back a son of the club. .. WTS burnt his bridges with sour grapes over taking the soft approach of inactivity over standing up for a posi in the team. ..

What is the point? There was a time where Walker obviously enjoyed his time as a Gumby otherwise why would he switch to begin with? similarly there was a time Marklar looked elsewhere for a "fresh" start or new perspectives. This is not being debated.

I would say that leaving your club by choice makes you more of a Judas than being delisted and joining another club.

Your club also calls anyone who leaves the club and wishes to return a turncoat flog and degrades them, however you seem to have made an exception in Walkers case, so you'll have to forgive us for thinking you're the last individuals we'd be taking recruiting methods off of.

It was the method of how they approached their exists that is the key "issue" as to why one is a Judas and one is a favourite son. Marklar left to the Wonders of his own volition, it was an amicable situation in which club and player came to a mutual understanding (similar to Eagleoz who is currently a Fury) in that since they were proactive and transparent, they were / are wished the best and will be / were welcomed back with open arms.

Then you have individuals like Walker who effectively throws the club under a bus as the reason for his inactivity, and, in part the leadership at that time;

But due to a lack of opportunities throughout the last 2 seasons I lost faith in their coach and subsequently lost all interest.

I can only control what I have done and continue to do as a VC and now as a co-captain of the Gumbies, since season 13 when Rojo got perma banned and I was promoted to his place, I have given as much opportunity to the team as I have been able to do so, and taken on board as much as I have been given by where specific players want to play. Using examples; Doc was played in the back half during reshuffling last season, he spoke up he wished to play forward and immediately next match he was, similarly, Striker was offered the centre position by pete to switch during the Troll shuffle, he and I had words that I disagreed with pete offering a prime position, but so long as he was around and contributing it would be honoured. He was suitably shuffled out as he vanished from the SFA.

Walker chose not to follow in their footsteps and be proactive, he chose to become inactive, he perpetuated our tag as an inactive team, which persists today irregardless of how many we delist, how many we take in and how active they are over the course of the season thus far (using an EG, A2R has been active in both match threads prior to this one, in the 1st round he was told to piss off several times by established posters, I do not blame him if he does not wish to engage the SFA if that is the sort of welcome he is going to get from the wider SFA) yet, after this inactivity of Walkers, he pops up and effectively blames the club and the leadership for him being disenchanted and the positions he ended up in despite making no moves or providing no voice to the contrary.

It is night and day with how they each handled the situations they were in, Walker did it extremely poorly in comparison which culminated in him being cut loose and pete labeling him a Judas.

Now I don't have any strong feeling on it myself, nor would I given Walkers determination to twist everything to make him the victim. All I know is there would have to be water under the bridge and we would have to have several discussions if he found he regretted his decisions made, and this season will see us take further steps to pants the lot of you pretenders, the club leadership know where we stand, we're we're at at present and everyone on our list can see where the club is trying to head and how we're trying to get there.

So with respect, he's still a specialist inactive and I expect several brusies from several boys making him earn otherwise.

Our 0/2 start is indicative of any club that is proactive in trading out junk, which you also picked up btw or do you not have Walker the "I'm only going to pop in once in 3 seasons to say hi, why was I delisted and get a lifeline because the Demons love Gumby specialist inactives."

I used to play for the Mount Buller Demons many moons ago, but gave it away due to a lack of opportunity and the desire to pursue other interests. I then made a return, and was drafted to Geelong, but lost desire due to a lack of opportunities in the midfield

Rhodesy_Blues, I'll admit, after my first season back in the league, I did get a touch big-headed that several clubs were chasing my services, and I hastily signed with the Wonders. I went the wrong way about it, and this decision has never sat well with me. Still, my time at the Wonders was enjoyable, and successful, and I left when they are clearly in a very powerful position, and with their best wishes. Good luck finding a serious bad word that I'll post toward that establishment.

I approached Streets, pete and Clay to return to the Gumbies, personally with an eye to helping lose the unwarranted stigma of being an inactive club. My motives are for a strong league, not huge stats and medals. My only aims are for a strong, active Gumbies list and a premiership.

You can call me out as a turncoat, I will not debate that my initial defection was not done in the proper manner. I intend to make up for any wrongs I have brought upon the club.

This match couldn't have come at a better time, you may have awoken the beast in Marklar!

Second, again, check the contribution I made to the team when I was drafted in 2010, and the impact I had playing off the wing/centre, and explain to me the logic behind playing me off a half back flank after solid posting, and form in the midfield.

And if you're celebrating me no longer playing for the Gumbies, and that i'm not a required player, why then are you still so cut up about me now being at another club? You'd just hate to see me find success at the Dees don't you?

Again, not too bright. .. You're the only person that has ever had to ask who Streets is. ..

Edit: The funny part is that I started in Season 13 and happily played on a HBF, BP, etc and earned my way into a better position through on field and off field effort. .. You should try it and stop crying about not being gifted things. ..
