Congratulations you pissweak campaigners. Your pissweak players, pissweak coaches, pissweak list management team, pissweak fans and pissweak club in general 100% deserves this.

If we had to embarrass ourselves like the pissweak club we are again, I'm glad it was against your pissweak club.

No but seriously, I love you guys, thank you for giving me comfortably the most tolerable GF loss I've suffered. I'm actually less flat than I was last year and will gladly cop all the shit that nets me from the other pissweak Swans fans in here 🙈

All of a sudden this thread feels like it's punching down.

Commiserations, Swans fans
To be fair they've won one in the seventeen years of this thread too, and there's only been a couple who went overboard in all that time so full credit to them.

At least we're now on par!

I know this is neither the right time or place for this but I have to say the all of the Swannies we have encountered in the 4 days down in Melbourne have been great. Such a different vibe to last year.

I suppose it makes sense but... They're so used to losing grand finals they've become classy in their tolerance and resilience. Must be a membership requirement of such a pissweak club.

Absolutely; they were all a pleasure that I came across and feel terrible for them and only wish the best for them. Whilst of course some left, a lot to their credit, stuck around for our presentation, clapped our boys and wished us well. Classy.

There was one Lions person in our section that during Rampe's speech that was yelling out for him to hurry up, and quite a few of us Lions told him to pull his head in and then our section all proceeded to clap Rampe on his speech which must have been extremely difficult.

Of all opposition clubs, Swans and their fans for mine closely resemble ours and deserve respect.

I know this is not in the spirit of this thread but as someone who generally lurks here without posting I wanted to give a shout out to the big footy lads (and lasses) from both teams who make this thread a good read with quality banter.

The AFL has tried to manufacture a Brisbane v Sydney rivalry for years, without real success because we rarely met when we were both good and it mattered. Maybe this will be a catalyst, maybe not, I suspect there is still too much mutual respect and graciousness to generate real venom but who knows, Sydney are just the sort of pissweak club who will take it too far and make it serious.

If there is a pissw**k club then I am sorry it is clearly Brisbane.

Hadn’t won a premiership in 2 decades and then you got so desperate you had to face off against the biggest perennial GF stage fright loser the game has seen.

I mean sh*t, I saw a bulldogs poster saying that your premiership should have an asterisks next to it because your opposition didn’t count. A bulldogs supporter claiming you should have an asterisk for a premiership, can it get any lower than that!?

And Brisbane will try to find some pissw**k way to say they are a good club, like their coach is a terrific humble lovable person. Or that their injured ruck was genuinely happy, evidentially genuinely happy, for his understudy to be in the premiership team. Or that their supporter base is one of the best natured supporter bases in the league. Weak as p**s is all I will say!

Well they are experts on throwing and there's not that much difference between throwing a ball and throwing a game.

I think it takes a certain hardness to drop by as a Swans fan in the aftermath, which is where the thread actually has (for me anyway) it's philosophical value - we won, you lost....and the universe moves on. We would have beaten anybody and I think that rolling 3 of the 4 teams above us to lift the cup supports that....there's no shame in being beaten by a better team.

Once this year is over, everyone is back in pre-season, 2024 becomes the (glorious) past. Resting on past glories is often a recipe for imminent decline :)

When the fixture is announced for 2025, we can pencil in the Pissweak Cup for the Lions-Swans matchup.

Rocknroll :)

Round 0 will be a pissweak gf rematch.

Maybe you lot can buy in some decent players over summer. We'll be down a key forward and our brownlow medallist (that injury).

Game on.
