The West Indies probably getting the better deal there with 3 overs less for SA to get 13 less runs, SA are still favourites though.
In a low target run chase, it always works out a better deal for the batting side, especially with a wet outfield.

The ball will be greasy and harder to grip for the bowlers.

Russell id imagine has to bowl 4 overs. Not sure who the other guy would be.

Hosein is more of a container . He gets wickets when you have plenty of runs on the board and there is scoreboard pressure.

bowling spin becomes tricky with a wet ball, so you'd assume the quicks have to do the bulk of it. Taking regular wickets the key

At the Australian Open I think a couple of seasons back, a player won their game at around 4 or 5 am in the morning. I remember a year where Hewitt played a 5 set match finishing at 4am or so. He was cooked pretty sure next game.

You cant tell me its a disadvantage , to be playing a player who got to complete their game at an earlier time?

I understand your side of things but rules are rules.
For sure it's a disadvantage, but at least you get a true result for the match at hand as both players had to endure the same conditions. But a team sport that let's be honest doesn't require a lot of recovery time is a lot different than playing two full length tennis matches. And oh, last I checked, tennis doesn't have time limits either (I'll admit, I don't follow tennis at all so I could be wrong). If those bastards keep hitting the ball back and forth; it can go on forever... technically.

Less chance to be bowled out, I hate DLS, you should have less wickets in play, maybe 1 wicket every 2 overs less or something.

Wimbledon has a cut off time for tennis (pretty sure it's 11pm, it's either 10pm or 11 forget been a few years since I've been), plenty of events do actually. We are not going down the boring baseball route where they would cure insomnia trying to hit the thing once.

Baseball is as boring as bat droppings because of it, at least NFL does it the right way over there.
Again, your opinion. Guess what the NFL does if it's a knockout game and the game is tied after OT? They keep going. There is no time limit on knock games for any sport in the USA. Maybe that's why we are the only country to put a man on the moon? I kid.

Key word knockout, this isn't the knockout or a final. The NFL's overtime rules in a regular game is perfect. No wonder stadiums love it over there- they get more booze sales...I mean you sure have to drink to last a baseball game.

Technically there's no time limit in this WC either if weather doesn't cancel the match in the case of a tie...Super overs are continually played until there is a winner

Not sure I can split them at this point. The poms are insufferable during ashes series, but Indian fans are worse when it comes to ICC tournaments

I raise you Bairstow
