Its a ******ed competition if teams get REWARDED for finishing last or having less than 5 wins.


They should bring in a system similar to the English Premier League / 1st Division etc where teams get relegated to seconds if they finish in the bottom.

I would rather watch the Coburg Tigers or Claremont than Carlton trying to lose another game.

This is a good idea, but the AFL will never do it, as that means they'll get smaller crowds, and have to reopen Princess Park, amongst other things and of course lose money which only an idiot would do in today's corporate chess game.

I mean they've been doing it in the VAFA for ages, but it won't happen unless we pay Al-Quadia to knock of Dimisimitroius and Eddie Muguire amongst a few others...

Maybe they should have the draft 'lottery' like in the USA, that way it's just bloody luck, fairer than tanking.
