Bout time Sporn and Chambers are out, we have many a player who will do a better job than these 2.

Great to see Jordan in only a few days after a negative thread was made about him. O'hAlpin will add some spark to a depleated forward line and Fisher is a key player we lacked last week with stagnent movement through half forward.

CONGRATZZ DENIS AT FINALLY DOING WELL AT THE SELECTION TABLE!!!

CARN THE BLUES!!!!

Sporn is unlucky for mine, also would have thoiught blackers would have come in before russell if perfprmances count for anything..... Teague is lucky, his courage can never be questioned but geez his skills are second rate under any type of pressure.

Thought Sporn was OK against Freo but didn't get much of a run last week & is now out.

Russell a surprise as thought he wasn't going so well in VFL. Let's hope he gets more game time than the last game he played.

Fev & probably Waite to return next week- Teague could make way.

Looking forward to seeing Missssssssssssstttterrrrrrrrrrrr Kennedy... Kenn-e-dy play on ABC television this Saturday.

Not sure Russell earned his spot, but it's probably the best team to bring him in against.

well looks likes he's playing :) look out hawthorn :) we probly messing up their matches ;) should try and make em mismatch :)

Shane Crawford didn;t train with the Main group so hope he's not fit ;)
go crawf please play and keep a fit player out :)

who are you talking about andy?

At last a decent selection! Lots of pace and height there. Probably a bit much introducing Setanta and Josh Kennedy at the same time. ADL’s days are number I suspect – only a matter of time before he’s replaced with Josh Kennedy. :)

at last it looks as though we are building some nice depth. to bring in fisher and carlos after losing fev and waite and still not having to rush josh is great news for us.

Maybe in the short term, but Pagan perseveres with ADL because he wants a ruckman who can kick goals in a few years time. I think he's fully aware that ADL isn't up to it yet, but he's not just thinking about next week, and it's not like we've got a glut of ruckmen right now anyway.

Of course if someone better comes along in the next few years <aisake> - geshundheit - then all the better.

I still think the Hawks have the edge. We're pushing Carlos and Jordan into senior roles when they haven't shown much at a lower level this year, Fish is being rushed back, and Lappin has a suspect shoulder. A gamble. If it comes off, DP will look like a genius, but if it doesn't we'll cop a shellacking.

Still, it's not like we have a ton of options this week. Bannister for Lappin, Blackwell for Russell, Kennedy for Fisher. They're all borderline choices. I can't argue with the official selection.

Fish and Lappin are both fully fit and will both definately play both trained unhindered on Wednesday, Carlos will play well even if he doesn't kick goals (suspect kicking action) his second and third efforts and his ability to contest in the air are all bonuses and could easily play out of the goal square and kick a bag. Russell has come in for his pace and to maybe have a tagging role on one of the Hawks many midfielders, Sporns biggest problem is his decision making, when he takes a mark he takes for ever to move it on and ends up kicking to a contested situation usually 2 on 1. Deluca has gotten better every match he has played and given the fact we are playing Hawthorn that will have no one to play on Deluca he could get moved to the square and kick 2-3 goals easily, he is a very handy player to have in the side and needs to be given a fair go, 2 years ago he was playing good footy for us in the forward half until Barny got injured and he had to share the ruck duties with Bryan, just needs time to build his confidence and this week will play a big part in Carlton's victory.:thumbsu:

Go the Mosquito Fleet

PS: If we win the Midfield battle we will win the game.:thumbsu:
