Mid priced madness it is this year. Might be the way to glory though. Here's my "no first year players on the field" team.
Might still try and find a way to squeeze Steele into the forward line. $171k to play with.

Just after some feedback on team! $11 k in the bank but if i need to free up cash I will go Pendles into Treloar & Doc into Shaw.
My only selection I'm not really sure on is O'Meara however I'm not sure how else to use that cash. Avoiding mid-priced players apart from Beams & Sandilands as I feel they're worth the risk.

You lost me at Andrew Gaff. 25 years old and has only averaged over 100 once. I would go someone like Josh Kelly at a similar price.

And that's what I've done. Problem was that I really wanted ruck cover because of the risky setup I'm going in with. However, also had enough cash to put Witts in at R3.

It might look crazy but I'm actually pretty happy with that team, in spite of the mid priced madness. Really tough year for rookies this year.

Do you think your cash not spent on Gawn is really well spent? How do you plan on bringing him in if he starts on fire?

That's the gamble you take. All it takes is for Gawn to have one sub-par game in the first six weeks and his price plummets, making it easier to grab him later and harder for him to get back to an average high enough for him to appreciate back to his starting price.

I can see Nank averaging around 90, so i'd be happy with that output in the interim, as the money saved by opting for him over Gawn allows me to grab other higher priced rookies across the park that have more secure positions in their respective teams. I'm hoping Nank can bridge the $ gap between him and Gawn as his value appreciates, allowing for an easier upgrade.

Don't the Saint's play a shit-load of games at Etihad for the first half of the year? I think the Saints will be well in the top 8 for that period and guys like Steven and Steele will be firing on all cylinders during that time
