First time with the team completely full. Very happy for some feedback, know it's imperfect.

my thoughts,

the mids look a little light with Kelly/Hrovat at M5/6
lots of high priced rookies
Long wont play rd 1 and i dont think Brodie will either.
SPP probably has the best scoring potential of all rookies. i'd look to get him on the field.

Bloody Hell, I keep putting Hibbered in and Adams mids to cover. Surely Hibbered will get lots of game time I just don't know why they wouldn't want to play and develop him.
May still pick him because he will play. Frustrating.
McGrath I'd look elswhere likewise Gallucci, or stalk the Adelaide board, as I don't think he will play much early on.

I really like your back line. It is a pretty generic team apart from Higgins - who i think is a good POD - but i think your structure can set you apart. 2 rookies on field in each position (except rucks) is pretty much ideal IMO. I also notice that your team is well balanced for the bye rounds, did you take the byes into consideration when selecting your team?
I did have a quick look at the bye rounds but didn't go into it to much. thanks

Keen to get some feedback on my existing side. Also interested to think who will be the better scorer early - Jaeger or Swallow? Untitled.jpg

first attempt at a team left it late $82,100 left

def docherty,shaw,laird,marchbank,hampton,vickers willis (stewart,otten)

mid danger,jpk,fyfe,treloar,beams,jom,spp,barrett (pickett,parfitt,miles)

ruck gawn,sandi (cameron)

forwards dahl,greene,franklin,nankervis,taranto,turner (butler,eddy)

looking for any and all advice
thinking of changing nank for whe. have i got the rookies right?

Hey lads, what do we think of this side?

I'm hesitant to keep nankervis but I think it's my best option to have cover for sandilands, I'd love to hear alternatives.
Thanks in advance

Really like the forwards :thumbsu:
I'd guess Jaeger, but not by a lot - think both average around 90 over ~18 games

That's my thinking as well. Hard to split them, but ideally only need 8-10 games out of either of them before trading out during the byes. Swallow appeals beacause he's cheaper but Jaeger might be more prominent in the Hawks midfield.

Thats my massive toss up. Steele for likely more scoring, or Nank for the Sandi back up..

Got Cameron sitting on my bench so when he does recover he'll likely play so if Sandi goes down I have some sort of cover..

Other than that, hard to fault! Greene was 50/50 for me, decided against. Does have a history of doing stupid things to rule himself out. Gun though, will see how he goes and may bring him in down the track.

Something different, I like it.

Back in your selections.
Thanks mate, I really like that advice because I could slowly change it to the group consensus I find on this forum but a good portion of this is about luck so I'd probably enjoy it more that I've gone into it based off my own observations and inklings.

50k to put anywhere or leave in the bank for corrective trades.

Very different structure to most years. Always want to go big in the mids for early season points, so Beams and JOM round out that area.

Backs premos are set and with any luck shouldnt be going anywhere for 22 rounds. Must go Marchbank purely for JS, although I dislike the price tag.

Rucks are pretty common, will be tossing up Gawn or Goldy as the set and forget in the next 24-48 hours.

Fwds is the interesting part. First two are locks, although im tempted to start off with a Lynch/NRoo/Buddy type in Macrae's spot, and get him in later on. The Steele pcik at F3 is purely between him and Nank. Risky with no Sandi back-up, but my thought process is that if Sandi plays up with an injury he's likely going to be out for a while so will have to be shipped off anyway. Then I will get Nank in for the time being. (I ****ing hate trading in the Ruck spot, Gawnstein last year from first round to last) WHE should play all year barring injury/shit form. Rest are placeholders.

Ive spent way too much time this year, and the more you question the less you answer... time to shut the laptop..

Introducing Generic Team #213 for this thread.

Can someone convince me to not go with Tuohy?

I have enough cash to swap him for anyone under 535k (Laird, Adams, JJ etc.), but I feel like his JLT scores are going to be really telling of his year + the void left by Enright and Bartel.

Thought I would try to make a "real" AFL best 22 using the salaries in SC. This is what I came up with. Thinking of tracking it throughout the season and see how many points I would have with this team.

,
Pretty similar to what I have going at the current minute. Can't argue with any of your selections. Personally would go Docherty over Simpson, as he has a higher ceiling. Bit thin at F3 with Steele but I don't mind it.

Do you feel comfortable with all 3 of Nank, Steele and Roughy?
