Akermanis has kicked the most in a grand final as well.

Nor should you. Any thread in which you are making your conspiratorial or spurious arguments becomes destined for Bay 13. It's just a plain fact. Even threads you have started have ended up in Bay 13...You shouldn’t be anywhere near this thread.

Everything I post is capable of withstanding the most rigorous evidentiary scrutiny*Jeez you’ve got it bad for me Sttew.
But can you support your claims with evidence?
The Dustin Martin fan club is becoming a virus on BF and infecting every thread. That doesn’t really relate to the point I was responding to, which was that Daicos is the best all round kick of a football South of the Yarra has seen. We can only really compare the kicking prowess of historical players statistically through their conversion rate. And we can see Daicos has a bit on Akermanis on that score, as does Martin. Daicos was a brilliant kick, I just wanted to make the only statistical comparisons you could reasonably make between him and two other players in contention for a similar position.
By the way though, seeing you raised the point. Akermanis scored 5 of the 32 goals(15% of all goals scored) in the 2003 Grand Final. Daicos scored 2 of the 18 goals(11%) scored in the 1990 GF, his best of two Grand Finals. Martin scored 4 of the 19 goals(21%) scored in the 80% game time of the 2020 Grand Final, and like Akermanis in 2003, also had 1 goal assist.
He kicked a 1000 + goals in an era where no one has done it for 25 years. He is definitely a different type of forward but he deserves to be in the mix for one of the greatest.Franklin is not a better forward than Hudson, Lockett, Ablett, Carey, Hart, Quinlan and Dunstall.
Huddo, the wide hipped knock kneed, weekly targeted magician, unloved by millennials, lost amongst all the gushing for Plugger, and God. Their loss.Franklin is not a better forward than Hudson, Lockett, Ablett, Carey, Hart, Quinlan and Dunstall.
Not a hopeI think by the time Cameron wraps up his career he could be in this team.
Yep barring that knee injury he would be up there …sadly it could be the same for several players with career ending injuries D.Menzel comes to mindHuddo, the wide hipped knock kneed, weekly targeted magician, unloved by millennials, lost amongst all the gushing for Plugger, and God. Their loss.
I think he is still up there, his g/g rate, the stand out performances, and the helicopter come-back. Iconic.Yep barring that knee injury he would be up there …sadly it could be the same for several players with career ending injuries D.Menzel comes to mind

Does anyone have an Enema virus to eradicate it PLEASE.
Smith retired in 1958.
Its certainly not you that is on numerous Ignore lists.Everything I post is capable of withstanding the most rigorous evidentiary scrutiny*
*Unless I am wrong
Seriously Dude, don't you have job or a lady friend that needs attention?I wanted to get Lecras career 1.74 goals per behind in there, but finals 0.89 goals per behind so nah.
Or Jamie Cripps 1.65 goals per behind, but finals 1:1 so he missed the cut, you need to be great under pressure for this thread.
Certainly not amongst the great aerialists. McKenna was a better overhead mark than Franklin. He kicked a 1000 + goals in an era where no one has done it for 25 years. He is definitely a different type of forward but he deserves to be in the mix for one of the greatest.
WTF???He did.
Key player in back-to-back flags, won a Brownlow and B&Fs plus All Australian back when you really had to earn your AA guernsey.
Hall of Famer.
Footage of the 1951 GF shows Bernie Smith almost playing a different game to everyone else on the field; miles ahead in terms of positioning and ball use.
Read the first post.WTF???
Team of the Century 1960- now.
Now is 2023. Not 1943.

Another flag and a top 3 Coleman again I think his name starts to get mentioned. Not a hope

Visit a gym maybe.
You said earlier in one of your posts that you are working 3 jobs so , serious question, where do you find the time?
Is Chief paying you to keep the threads running so he gets advertising revenue?
If now was 1943 it would be team of the 17 year period.WTF???

Yes that’s right but I was just saying that in my original post I don’t have the knowledge passed on or seen to me of players before that era so my team will only consist of players from post 1960.17 years, 63 years, 100 years - if we’re talking basically an all-time Aussie Rules Best 22 I personally don’t see much harm in posters nominating appropriate players for discussion.
Argue the point re: Bernie Smith all you like, but for mine it’s a bit of a shame not to acknowledge legends of the game upon which the modern game was built.
The great John Coleman’s career was over by the mid-50s; for mine these types are always worth discussing and keeping their deeds and memories alive.
