Surely we need one of Everitt, Wight or god forbid Tiller against Hawthorn and you would of thought they would of played this week.

I suppose you have to trust the match commitee to know best!

The team for information

Reid has skipped past O'Keefe for mine. I really liked the look of O'Keefe when I first saw him, but he hasn't improved. While his form hasn't exactly dropped off, I expected him to be improving with every game he plays for Willi, and I haven't seen that happen from the five games I have seen of them this year.

I'm so excited to be unleashing yet another talent. If we can get another three players to debut next year and play at least half a dozen games (Grant, O'Keefe + potential 2008 draftee), it's good signs for the future.

Perhaps it is risky bringing a kid in to debut on the eve of finals, but I don't mind the decision at all.

Good on Sam Reid. I have a problem with this though, and that is we should have our most settled side for the finals. I wouldn't imagine Reid would be in our finals plans would he?

I have only seen him on a slow ground.Would you class him as quick running.Cause he didn't look overly quick from what I saw which wasn't much.

Is this selection designed to fire up Ray before the finals???

He is named as emergency so maybe he will come in for someone else.

I notice that when Rocket decides to rest a player(ie Hudson) he still names them in the side but changes them for an emergency and only notifies the media of the change just before the game starts.

Actually looking at the emergencies I wouldn't be surprised if Ray and Cam Wight came in at the last moment for 2 players who Eade wants to rest.

Simply because Ray is an outside player whose running game will be exposed a bit against Adelaide. The way Adelaide plays will suit Reid. Ray should definitely be in for the Hawthorn game.

have to admit i find it strange that reid has been included, i would have thought we wanted to field this side we would have in the finals..but then again look what a taste of senior football done for Josh Hill last season

Could not agree with you more.

We need a extra tall down back especially.

But who would be your two outs?

surely we have to play Wight, if not Everitt. If we come up against a Kangaroos or Geelong we need a real tall to play against the likes of Hale and Ottens...

Bizarre example of why we need a tall defender against Adelaide. Ottens doesn't play good up forward and up until last week I had no idea Hale could even go forward.

Congratulations to Reid for notching his first senior game.

We haven't had a youth focused year this year but we have still managed to get more games into Tiller, Harbrow, Hill and Wight (not young anymore but inexperienced), also pushing Ward and now Reid into the mix. I think all in all we have been able to keep a pretty good balance between blooding inexperience and keeping a side capable of reaching the top four.

This week I would be comfortable with seeing Hargreave replaced by Wight as we cannot afford to risk him this close to finals and we need to get Wight some game time after his broken jaw. Ray could also be a chance to come in for Gilby. Gilby may have been named but we don't want to risk another quad injury to a key player.
