Teams Port v Melbourne

I've been hearing that a lot of Crows supporters will be coming to the game with their wooden spoons - if the GC beat the Hawks, which is quite possible we'll be last irrespective of our game against Melbourne. Pathetic that many of them get more enjoyment from schadenfreude than their own team winning.

To be honest,

As bad as it may sound;

Happy that they are at least coming.

the best part about crows supporters going is that most of them are too stupid to realise they're doing us a favor by getting their stupid children tickets, stuffing their faces at our game and making a lot of noise inaudible to the players

Port v Melb; Int – Brogan, Jonas, Banner, Broadbent. Em; Cornes, Young, Davenport. Brogan in for Thomas

Stuff it Melbourne brought in Matthew Bate. That's it we're done.

Looking at that bench, I wonder if the sub will come from one of the three mids there, Hope not all far to slow and not the type to be subbed in for an instant impact, problem is Rodan had a blinder last week and would he be a little dirty if he was named sub. But seems as we lack "quick" options I think Salopek should be the sub, and try him through the middle after the half, see if he gives us anything

brogan said he might be the sub and come on for lobbe as hes notice hes not running out games

his game against essendon wasn't to good, his tackling was prretty poor. matty's trying to get games in to these guys though. thought young might have gotten a go.

They actually have Geelong's 2007 Grand Final victory listed on the honour board down at Crow HQ.

I've got a feeling in my waters that you blokes will get up this week.

Meh. I'd do the same if the situation was reversed.

Mate, if we manage to blow this one we should have our AFL license revoked immediately.

We will be fielding a better team so we better bloody get up!!! Going to be a stressful weekend, NO SPOON!!!!
I hope we win by 100 points and somehow wish GCS will beat the Hawks.

Who is the best team atm? Collingwood by a country mile.
What will people be saying if they win 2 in a row?
What about 3 in a row?

Yeah I know people will be saying that the got the spoon a few years back and have a number of priority picks in their team. ... Like hell they will.

Time for all of us to let go of past ways of doing things. Something about the past and the future?
We could have had Riewoldt or Didak and perhaps another flag or two, but hey the showdown was more important.

I think that the attitude of "its OK to finish last because we get something for it" is pretty poor. its not OK to finish last.

Kane Cornes playing for Glenelg, Davenport for West.

So if there is a late withdrawal Young gets his debut.

Take a look at Banner, Michael

It's definitely not OK to finish last ...
It is ok nowadays but we (myself included) still think it's not. I am still hoping we will not get the spoon but I shouldn't be, not in the AFL.
Having very good seasons followed by bad seasons is the go, but my head, and your head and most of our supporters heads is still stuck in the 1900s.

... Collingwood finished 15th and got picks 2 and 5. The situations aren't even comparable.
That is my point exactly.
They finished 14th, stone motherless last, 15th, 9th, 2nd , 2nd, 13th and then 15th again before moving back up towards the top.

Even you had forgotten about the spoon hey? :) ;) :)

the sad thing is that

if we win tomolo, i can really see those who have led the team for the past 4 years thinking

itd be like oh our season is forgiven ... sign westoff on another 3 years etc ... no cracks here ... move along
