They will be lightly sedated no doubt. Or even a small beta blocker dose to prevent the physical symptoms of anxiety.
Apparently, and I emphasise APPARENTLY because it's not confirmed, the boys are being medically assessed once they reach the part where they can walk out, and then being allowed to go on the rest of the way.
Actually they're not sedating them because that poses a risk to the respiratory system that they can't monitor

You can use certain tranquilizers without much negative effect to the respiratory system. It's all about dosage though. There are several benzodiazepines that can be used whilst conscious without affecting your breathing. I'm not certain they are are using them but under these conditions it would probably be a smart move. One panick attack and it's all over.

Real chance of survivors guilt if only some of them make it, especially if the coach makes it and some of the kids don't.

The condition the boys are in with not having proper food and sleep you couldn’t be sure if the dosage would be appropriate .

Yeah I understand the potential issues with dosage. We may not know if they have been used. They are quite familiar with mediation so this might serve them well when they are diving and therefore they may not need sedation.
