Thanks to all the retirees, especially Boomer. I have heaps of good memories of all of them for various reasons, and at different times, but there is a wise old saying that says " Time stops for no man " , and sadly it is true, we must evolve into the next chapter of The North Story, which is an ongoing, and perpetual saga.

It had to happen sooner rather than later not re signing the older players , but I really felt our season ended when it was announced .

These guys really love our club , thanks for all your endeavours and hard work , Go The Mighty Roos.

Thanks to the champions who were farewelled tonight for all the great memories they've given to us over their careers at North. Saddest I've ever been after a loss and its just terrible to think I'll never get to see these legends pull on a North jumper again. Gonna miss Spuds aggression and seeing him running off the backline and booting it up the field. Gonna miss Dal's beautiful kicks inside 50 and just the class he brought to us. Of course gonna miss Drew's big pack marks and the crowd yelling "DREWWW" or his big goals when we needed them most. But especially gonna miss the little champion Boomer pretty much doing it all, from his long and exciting runs to his game winning goals that I've become used to over the years. He's been my favourite player for so long and it so hard to see him go along with the others boys. image.jpeg

What did he say?
I can't recall everything but the reporter asked him about the retirements and Brad went into detail that it's not the coaches decision to delist players, and I think he actually put some of it back on the retiree, it's all in the presser, Brad ducked and dived over the team performance, but when asked about Boomer he had a good answer.

Pathetic photo, Boomer didn't even bother to walk down to the cheersquad and say goodbye.

Like Stevens in 04' (113 point loss)
Colbert in 05' (87 points)
Sav in 06' (77 points)
Archer in 07' (87 points)

We really know how to 'send off' our champions.

Thanks for nothing North.

What year was it that the loss in Sydney saw Jess Sinclair and Thommo pull up stumps? Anyway.........

I feel gutted for the four players tonight but I've seen so many great players retire over the decades that I know this feeling will be brief. My overwhelming emotion is gratitude to these blokes for the many many highs they've provided my family and I over the years.

I really can't thank them enough. Certainly not adequately on a chat forum.

Legends! :thumbsu::thumbsu::thumbsu::thumbsu:

That's crap mate.

If he spent minutes heading down there, while the Crows and everyone else was waiting, he would have copped a flogging for being self indulgent.

If you are having a go at him, he made more of an effort to acknowledge the cheer squad than the other three.

Shocking way to send them off, but that's nothing new when it comes to North and players' last games...

A post like this can't do justice to how grateful I am for everything these four have done for the royal blue and white. Been so many great moments (Drew's two goals in the last 1/4 of the Elim final in 2014, along with all his massive pack marks, Spud's career revival when I thought he was done 3-4 years ago, Dal's classiness and play particularly in finals and Boomer...well there's just too many to list for Boomer)

They may be gone, but they'll never be forgotten

Thanks to the four of them, classy people and players. It kinda hit me like a wave at the final siren and when they were walking off that they won't be there anymore. We all knew it was going to happen but then in that moment it was finally real. Gonna miss them all.

Is there even a remote chance that the club will sack Scott and reverse the Harvey decision?

What's done is done, and no individial is bigger than the club, but 3 of these guys certainly are the club.

:'(
