I don't need to make a personal judgement if a good poster saw him overtaken after he had a headstart on his opponent and was beaten to the ball.irel said:I do not claim that he is or will be as good as Williams. Who knows he coud be better or he could just as well not get drafted and disappear from the scene like thousands before him.
I just have an issue with people that make definitive statements such as "He's slow" "He's quick" etc... without qualifying why that would make them a bad or good player. History tells us that players labeled "slow" like Williams, Harvey, Black and hundreds more compensate with other skills that turns them into champions.
So this being a phantom draft picking Pettard is a good strategy.
However when the real thing comes along in November, I'll trust the judgment of those given the responsibility to make a selection.
You also made the definitive statement without having seen Pettard to make a personal judgment.
Couch Coach said:Would have liked a inside midfielder with one of our first two picks. The best two still available in my oppinion are Tom Collier and Jackson Sheringham with Collier being the better option IMO.

I never said he was a bad footballer.
These observations aren't from someone on BigFooty so you can suit yourself if you don't like it. No wonder why this site is so **** with mates of players objecting to an impartial opinion.Maclion said:Mate, you've made a dikkhead of yourself. You made a statement "I heard Petterd is slow", on someone else's observation form BF. Another poster later put a contrary view. You have not seen him, you don't know what he looks like, shape, size, skill levels in fact you know SFA. You've just shown yourself to be a tool and backtracking at rate of knots.
