Is it just me or does TerryFilk's posts display strangely for others as well?

Instead of actual emojis and numbers I get numbers like keyboard buttons and emojis as [ emoji640 ] etc.
I see it too, and it appears to be affecting people using Tapatalk.

Lindsay for our first pick, but seems to think there’s a big chance we trade up for Travaglia or Allan. Also actual links to Hannaford 👀👀
(Herald sun phantom)

I'd be over the moon getting Hannaford there, but no way he falls that far, and the link to us is the sort of vague allusion journalists put in phantom drafts to lend authority to guesswork selections.

My preference is veering towards Hotton at this stage, and it's pie in the sky stuff but Hotton and Hannaford would be elite.

So Back line is taking shape.

Duggan - ??? - Baker
Ginbey - Governator - Hough

Wow only took me 4 working days to catch up on the Draft thread.
Some really great points raised and discussed.
I really like the Essendon pick swap and feel that this is an area I hope eventuates. There are just going to be so many good players still on the table after Pick 26.

Personally, just from WA we have Dennis , Artemis, Urqhart, Boxshall, Davis and my favourite Kayle Gerreyn. Let alone the other states. Just a great draft to get back into.

I really like Gerreyns movement and agility. His attack on the football is brilliant. With some necessary aggression. For me even at 199cm and the fact that we have a lot of good young forwards. I would be looking at playing him back and not in the Ruck at all. Not having watched any Colts for about 3 years I'd be interested from our watchers if they think that he can read the ball/play (as this is where I think H Edwards fails to a degree)

I have watched him a lot they actually wanted to play him at CHB but because they where playing finals and needed him to ruck it never happened
His agility is outstanding for a big guy, moves like a smaller player.

Fred Rodriguez sounds less like a footy player and more like a 60’s/70’s country singer

Freddy is a absolute must for us next year, his ability to bring others into the game and use so well.
Seriously going to be a star made for finals type of player genuinely exciting

Edwards is pretty much a lock in there too.

Its the 7th defender who is the real unknown at this stage.

Hawthorn F1 at best might get us 21(GWS), (22)Sydney or 23(Richmond) but that on it’s own being enough is debatable

Probably too late for the likes of Reid, Hotton or Berry but maybe Hynes, Oliver or Dattoli are still there. Are they worth trading back into the draft for?

If Hawthorn make a prelim then probably yes, but if they slide and miss finals we’ve traded away a top 10 pick

Think I’d rather keep both the F1 picks we hold and use one of our F2/F3 picks to get another pick in the 30-50 range where there will still be some good options

Pick 12,26,30-50 somewhere plus Champion and another late draft pick or rookie pick makes 5 draftees

Burgiel trained today so likely he gets brought back on the list at some point

Leaves one spot to be filled likely from assessing players as train on options to be added as a SSP
Good, I'm glad Burgiel trained and hopefully we see the best of him...
Has talent and speed.

What do we think Burgiel actually is?

Say he stays fit, gets a contract and gets a debut, then manages to become a regular.
Where would he line up in round 1 2026?

Drafted as an impact mid, with speed being the main trait.
Reading his rookieme page, those traits seem like a high-half forward role would suit him well, but we are pretty stocked for small/medium forwards, especially with Reid and Hewett able to go forward too.
He was used an an outside player in the WAFL wing/hb/hf I believe?

Is he a half back? wing? maybe into the middle with Reid and whoever else?

Edwards. They need to run the Bazzoid through that backline as well. I don't know if anyone has noticed this about Duggan, but he's a bit shit.

The Duggan shit talk gets old.
Hes a good player, nowhere near as bad as this board makes out

Agree about Bazzo though, he looked big in the photos. He should be in there as the 7th defender, at least by mid-season once hes got some form in the WAFL

Why you mad bro? What is it that makes someone give a thumbs down? There's probably 100 posters here with 100 different opinions. You and maybe one other poster regularly rip out the thumbs down. What's with that, bro?

I've never witnessed the Duggan hate though. Looks like I'm not alone. Slightly better than Pridda. Where can I give him a thumbs down?

Maybe I do it to you sometimes, but its not often at all

Yeah youre not alone, thats what I said. I wouldnt have bothered saying anything at all otherwise lmao

I would hate it next year is a very strong WA draft
I'm aware of that mate but that doesn't make it a better draft does it?

This is more your department than mine but isn't the very top end (1-5) of next years draft projecting as better but the depth not so much at this stage?

Also, won't we have F/S players who'll be bid on from 15-25, so we'll need to get in front of that pick anyway?

Say Reid slides to 17-20 area, surely he'd be worth it then?

Ye surely if its just the hawks f1 for Murphy Reid we are doing well there.

We would be giving up what is a good chance to be Cody Curtin but surely its an acceptable trade? Cant go wrong with an extra midfielder who is very different to what we currently have on the list

B cole Hedwards hough
Hb ginbey McGovern Duggan
