I’m probably pretty disappointed if this is what is available by our pick.

Hoping one or a couple of TT, Lindsay, Allan might still be there. If it played out like this I’d be snapping up Reid who I rate very highly.

Enjoy your channels dajesmac - but not loving the way this particular mock draft has played out in your head!
I like how we've gone from abject terror of taking Bo Allen at 12 to him potentially being off the board at 5.

I love the off season :D

Is there a chance we have some informal collateral left with Richmond off the back of the Baker trade etc? Like an agreement that on trade night we will be getting a beneficial pick swap with them but have agreed that we will wait till trade night to see if both parties can upgrade picks with what they currently have before handing them over.

Don’t think there’d be anything preemptively agreed but we’d definitely be an ideal trading partner for them. Hawks F1 for 18, our F2 for one of their 20’s picks etc. think they’d be keen to generate extra picks for next year.

Hadn't really considered this, but could we do a pick upgrade with the Saints. Let's say we really rate someone at Saints Pick 8 and we offer 12 and F2?

Only really Jagga or Draper I'd do that for personally, otherwise I'd wait to see who is available at 12.
It FOS gets to 8 and we make the trade you suggest then it fixes the Baker f*ck up because we get the bloke we (this board) wanted at 3 anyway.

On that rating you think he slides
Not necessarily. I think he goes 7 or 8 (without FS/A). I think the top 4 in this draft are a cut above. I think he, Langford, and Reid are in the next group. Some of those clubs will go tall. So if he gets to 10 or later, you have to take him. If anyone slides, it will be Reid and/or Smillie. But I think he gets taken inside the top 10.

No chance he's getting to 8! Other people have mentioned it, I'm also not super bullish on this draft. Shifter came out and said this was a good crop comparitive to other years, but I'm not convinced. But I think there is no chance FOS lasts past 5.

That’s the hope.

When the Hawks traded 14 on that Friday it was reported that Tigers, Eagles and Baker management were working out other ways to get the trade done. Most suggested Hawks F1, but probably with that was the Hawks wouldve have the leverage knowing we needed that pick to them pass on the the Tigers.

So the hope is we did the split and gave Richmond pick 14 for Baker (which they used straight away to get they Bolton deal done). That once we get the Hawks F1 we on trade that, maybe with our F2 for pick 11 and everyone is happy.

No reports of this though post trade period which makes you think it’s just hope but might be also why Tigers ain’t interested in the Roos pick swap.

Can only hope. Maybe Travaglia, M Reid/Lindsay, Hynes and Champion inbound would be a nice haul and a couple of KPDs prospects late with a Knobel

Seems like we are getting linked to Lindsay in more and more phantom drafts inevitably meaning we won’t end up getting him (Jarrod Berry style). Its a shame because outside of TT, he’d be my choice.

If you put him up for trade there would be a queue.
The wierdest thing is the worst side going has a poultice of ruckmen/ forwards.
But a meh midfield.

Mids win games these days.

You can control the game

We can do it in mini patches only

If FOS slid to say 8 would people be happy if we gave up the Hawks F1 & F2 to get him?

Essentially it would be a straight swap for Barrass who by what’s he’s said was considering retirement.

In - 12 (Lindsay or TT), FOS, Baker, Owies

Out - 3, Barrass, Darling.

Overall I think I’d be pretty happy seeing as most people wanted FOS at 3. Getting something back with Baker would have really evened it up.

Richmond’s picks make this draft unpredictable to be fair. They’re more likely to go for a range of positions than necessarily the best available at their picks. Still don’t really want Allan but it’s a luxury you have with that amount of picks to take a punt on someone.

I'd give up Hawks F1 and F2 for any of these 4 players:

FOS, Smith, Lalor, Draper.
