Enjoy your channels dajesmac - but not loving the way this particular mock draft has played out in your head!

Ugh, did not expect to see my own rude head when clicking your tag. It's too early for that.

Yeah - perhaps this is me catastophising but I feel we may get to our pick and all of Lindsay, Allan and Travaglia are gone. Hopefully I'm wrong and one of them slides. Out of the next batch of contenders OH is my preference to types like Berry, MReid & Hynes. Hotton was also unavailable as you can see.

I knew when uploading that that WC fans would hate it as much as anyone, but it was an honest prediction of who is likely to be gone by our pick. Hopefully I'm wrong - Lindsay is the man I'm hoping for.

Trading a future first for Hamish Davis lost me

We'd be mad not to pick Murphy Reid if he was available. One of the best in this draft imo and if we landed him it would make the pick 3 disaster trade slightly more palatable.

Said he loves the beach, surfing and the sun in one of his interviews so I'm sure Reuben can take him down to Dunsborough to get him settled in.

No, I don't. I've never said I have inside information. And I've always maintained I have no idea which players will be better than others.
You strut around and post stuff with great certainty. Advice for you - be a little less assertive about opinions you have with scant research or connections. Humility is a good attribute.

Cool story, bro

This is from a recent post of mine (2136). Check the language I used.

I assume the #1 club
The AFL also may be
and potentially the clubs
what happens if?
they potentially don't want to
As for Saints, I assume
Let's say it's
there's absolutely no guarantee
I don't think
And I don't think we should

There's nothing about that that's assertive. But there are other posts where I am. You know why? Because in some instances, I'm sure. You act like every post I make that I'm sure about everything I say, and that I imply I have some sort of diving knowledge. That's just not true. What is true, is that you have come to an internet forum and got offended at some random person's opinion that you don't agree with.

If we had 2 and tigers offered 6 11 I'd take it in a heart beat.

Tigers won't do it.

We traded 2 for 9 14 in 2022.
1. Not every list manager knows what they're doing, just ask Campaigner Clarke.
2. We probably did that trade because Sheezel was a perceived flight risk and Wardlow had injury concerns. Then from there it looked pretty even. I was happy with that trade, there were exceptional circumstances, but in nearly every other season, I'm not doing it.

All other things being equal (i.e. Sheezel not being a flight risk, and Wardlow not having an injury cloud), what are you talking? Pick 2? Or 9 and 14?

Forget the FS/Academy points, pick 2 is usually going to be a better bet. Potentially for Richmond it means:

Lalor and Smith
v
Lalor and Smillie and Lindsay

I'm taking Lalor and Smith every time. Every club, in every draft will have a top group that would usually be 2-3 players. And I think a lot of clubs would do that deal to get their hands on the top two prospects.

Only concern with Reid is his pace and defensive side of the game.

Reading other opinions on him he sounds a little like Chad Fletcher from the early 2000's and 2006 flag team. Gets plenty of the ball but lacks real pace.

But others are very complimentry about his u18 season.

Lindsay described on one of the phantom draft pods as a Zac Merett type mid. Size and playing style.
