DeSantis happy to shut down women’s rights though, isn’t he.
Shut down rights to be gay.
Shut down rights to read certain books.
Freedom…sure…sure..
But he doesn't want to allow the democrat led sexual mutilation of little children, he doesn't want granny to be pushed onto train tracks and the rampant blue state crime aided and abetted by the democrats in power and he most certainly doesn't want to allow democrats to get away with their mass open borders apocalypse that is destroying communities all over the country

Joe Biden did. His 5th.

Yeah, I was almost going to edit that post and say “except Creepy Joe…”

He’s onto his 5th shot after having had Covid and taking Paxlovid.

I mean it’s beyond comical.

we certainly know who the fascist is - don't look at what they say, look at what they do

Oh so a fascist is a doctored photo….riiiiiight.
Trump to Blake Masters “ Just do what Kari Lake does, every time you’re asked a question, just reply with “the election was stolen”
This is because Trump understands that the gullible will believe the lies, even though Trump told others he knew the election wasn’t stolen.
He knew it WASN’T stolen. The gullible believe the lies because they huddle in their own little world. They don’t want truth, just Trump lies. They want his lies.

I mean, how stupid do MAGAs have to be…serioulsy. 🤣
Great policy…just great
Yes Trump is aiming fro his Mussolini moment and running on a single platform, that the election wass stolen, while he attempts to steal the election himself in an attempt to regain and retain Power at all costs.

As for the GOP

I recall he just had a booster about 2 months ago.

Seriously though Kudos to him though taking one (or more) for the team.
I do understand at his age he is more susceptible. That is the group that needs attention.

Happy to play along with the questions.
Thank you for your response. Obviously we have differing opinions on a few things, which is fine, but there are a few things that I won't let stand.
But there is no need to be driving the fear or the hatred.
What "fear and hatred"?
You are a white knight I mean You are not in anyway needed in the solution of trans people in sport or other aspect of life, you haven't been asked, you offer no tangible expertise in the matter...yet here you are..still.
You seem very exercised by the idea that someone may have opinion on an issue when they "haven't been asked". I'm fairly sure no-one on this thread (including you) has been "asked for" their opinion on Trump, Brexit, climate change, COVID... people have opinions. Some of those opinions are relatively mild, some are quite strongly and confidently held. An opinion may be strongly / confidently held because of prejudice or bias, or it may be strongly held because someone has looked into / followed an issue over a period of time. This latter is the case with me, on this issue (in its many manifestations). I started out with "oh, that's curious" and progressed to "actually, it's not just curious, it's serious".

Edit: And by the way, no-one asked for your opinion on abortion, either, and yet here you are, in this thread. And as far as I can see, none of your responses to your opponents on that or other subjects include "You're not needed, you haven't been asked". What is it about this issue / my opinion, and not others, that draws out that response?
It's not that scary and you'll find women athletes and administrators will be capable of working these things out...and if they need more help, I'm sure they ask.
Yeah, well, women have been "asking" for some time. Women like Sharron Davies and Matrina Navratilova, among many others. I'm pretty sure if you asked those women about my posts on this thread they wouldn't say "butt out, arrowman, we didn't ask for your help, we can solve this by ourselves."

Also, and to some extent again - the sporting bodies (down to school level) that opened the female category to trans-identifying males did not do so after an exhaustive consultation with experts or other stakeholders, they did so unilaterally because they wanted to be "inclusive" or whatever. It was only after pushback - and public pushback - that they (some of them) actually did look at the evidence and changed their policies.
But I would say, gaol should be safe for all
Including women.
people who are transgender aren't sex pests
OK 2 things:
1. Is there something about transgender women (i.e. males who identify as women, to be clear) that makes them automatically "not sex pests"? To be clear, I am not claiming that people who are transgender are <all, or even mostly> sex pests because they are transgender, only that there is no reason why they should not be, compared to the rest of the population.
2. It may be true that people who are transgender aren't by definition sex pests - but it is also true that males who are sex pests can be transgender - either "naturally", so to speak, or by design. Not because they are transgender, but because they are male sex pests. And if you think a male sex pest would not fake being transgender to gain access to a women's prison (or other space), then perhaps read more about the subject.
the prospect of lots of sexual assaults isn't something I consider a big risk
So this could mean either you don't care, or you don't realise it's actually a real issue / risk. I'll be charitable and assume it's the latter. So here is some reading to help you understand. Yes, these links are UK-focused, but it's happening in other countries too, including Australia.

you really are insane..every single thing you wrote there is discredited, you know its discredited and yet you post it.. or maybe Slippery Pete was dead right, you are elite level troll

Good old good guy DeSantis:
He’s happy for hundreds of Republican candidates to rape and molest children.
Happy for children and women rape victims to be forced to give birth, happy for the GOP to be in the gynaecologists office along with a woman and her doctor.
Happy to lie about the borders being open, when they are not open.
Happy to denigrate and ridicule gay people.
Happybto ban books.
Happy to abuse teachers doing their jobs
Happy for an uneducated population.
Freedom..oh yeah…sure..

What is your position on gay people CTID?
Your opinion on women right to decide, on books, on rapist candidates?
Has a republican candidate ever come out against one of their own arrested for rape, child molestation?
What about teh senator doing lewd things near a preschool last week?
Not one Republican has condemned it.
DeSantis is like Trump..a lust for power at all costs.

FMD could you miss the point any more spectacularly? I'm completely uninterested in the US partisan political bullshit that you are obsessed with.

So did I. In fact my partner, who is in her mid 30s, was double vaxxed and caught it so bad she nearly died. Literally. 14 days isolated in ICU and a long convalesence. So I'm no raging pro vaxxer by any means.

I am a pragmatist though. Did the Vax, lock downs and other measures help us avoid the kind of shitshow we saw in Italy? Maybe. Personally, I don't know why we didn't shut down international travel far earlier. In any event, I'm not a fan of looking at such things in the rear view mirror and judging with the benefit of hindsight. Big Pharma would have benefitted from Covid no matter when the vaccines were rolled out because, well, we were dealing with a disease. The vaccines, however effective, gave us the means to open up again. Without them, no govt would have had the balls to loosen restrictions and get people out of their houses and back to work. So, a means to an end.
Geniune question..

Do you and your partner believe the vax didnt do anything?.. or do you guys believe she is only alive today because she was actually vaxxed?..

And all the while little Chrissy Bowen marches Australia headlong into rising electricity costs that will see low income earners really struggle and no doubt many once viable businesses go to the wall. Not to mention Labor's already broken election promise of cheaper electricity bills to the tune of $275 for the average user.

Federal Budget 2022: Changes to climate change policy, EVs, disaster relief, power bills

Labor’s budget had no relief for surging energy prices despite growing calls for a national energy summit.

Calls for a national energy summit to address soaring energy costs are increasing after the budget predicted consumer prices would soar by 56 per cent.
Joel Gibson from the consumer network OneBigSwitch said the energy price crisis should now be the government’s top priority if Australia was to avoid similar scenes to the UK, where 40 retailers had gone bust and price caps had doubled.

“The budget was an opportunity to address the biggest cost of living crisis we face right now - energy bills - but the government has elected to kick the can down the road,” Mr Gibson said.

“We now need a national summit to deal with this issue. Business as usual won’t cut it. If we don’t ring the bell now, we’ll have millions of Aussies who can’t afford to turn the lights on.”
Mission Australia’s CEO Sharon Callister said: “As cost of living and housing pressures go through the roof, people who rely on income support are unable to pay for many of the essentials of life.”

Opposition Treasury spokesperson Angus Taylor slammed the government over rising cost of living pressures.

“The Budget confirms that electricity and gas prices are expected to rise sharply over the next two years. Treasury has assumed retail electricity prices will increase by 50 per cent. Retail gas prices are up some 40 per cent in 2022 and 2023,” he said.

“Despite Labor’s pre-election promise to reduce your power prices by $275 a year, their own budget papers contradict this claim, and the Government has no plan to address rising prices.”

The price hike amounts to a 56 per cent rise over two years due to the increase compounding each year.

The rapid rise in energy costs has left Labor’s promise to cut power bills by $275 dead in the water.

The high energy costs will mean the December inflation peak of 7.75 per cent will last longer than originally expected.

Food prices will be a major driver of the price pinch, with costs forecast to contribute 1.5 percentage points to the inflation peak in December.

Asked if Australians hoping for a cost of living relief in the budget will be left disappointed, Dr Chalmers said it was important to do the “right thing by people and the right thing for the budget”.

If you can show me one post where I’ve said any of the above, I’ll delete my account.

That’s a pretty big incentive for you. Go ahead.

Any intellectually honest person knows I’ve said many times the vaccine should’ve been pursued, produced (“at the speed of science” - heh, thanks Pfizer) and then made available.

But NEVER mandated. For a thousand reasons, not least of all we didn’t know enough about it.

It should not have been mandated on 70% of the workforce, people should not have been locked out of stadiums, zoos, and shopping malls, and forced to choose the jab over their livelihood.

It is not too late for you to just admit this obvious truth. It is a truth that is going to be self-evident forever, it will never not be true, it will become more mainstream by the day as new data emerges. What happened with the vaccine rollout will always be wrong.

At some point you can either man up and admit it, or slink away and never mention it again.

Like people who supported the Iraq war.
Your whole argument fails.. and always has done so, and its been pointed out to you a thousand times in here mind you.. when you say people were forced to get the vax.

Because no one was forced. And this had been tested in our courts of law.

Yet you deceptively continue to say this.

Everyone had a choice to either get the vaccine or not get the vaccine. If some peoples continued employement in their current job at the time required them to get vaccinated then they had the choice.. get vaccinated or find a diferent job that didnt require them to be vaccinated..
So they had a choice. Simple.

Over 95% of Aussies over 18 got made the choice to get the vax..

A small group couldnt due to health issues..

A small group of dumbfxxks decided they werent gonna get the vax because some conspiracy theorists told them a whole heap on nonsense about the vax that they were gullible enough to believe.

Some of these dopey dumbfxxks are still whinging, pissing and moaning about the vax, that they never got forced to take, even though the rest of the world has moved on..

Geniune question..

Do you and your partner believe the vax didnt do anything?.. or do you guys believe she is only alive today because she was actually vaxxed?..
I can't answer for feenix, but in my/our case: Mrs Arrowman got it just a few days after her 4th shot. She was down and out for 4-5 days, then maybe 2 weeks before she got all her energy back. We isolated in the house and I (a mere 3 shot veteran) didn't get it.

Of course we have no idea how much impact the vax had on that. We could believe the vax was useless, or we could believe that for Mrs Arrowman it might have been worse if she hadn't been vaxed. No-one can say, but as far as I'm concerned it's no reason to think the vax is useless, meh, I'll get my 4th shot soon and that's the best / only thing I can do.
