You're in a conspiracy thread.

Shocked to see a Richmond supporter in one of those
It was literally the first unread thread in the mainboard forum so I clicked on it to see if it was new or old, turns out there's over 100 pages of it.

I'm on record as saying there is no conspiracy against us btw. One of the few Richmond fans without the tinfoil hat.

As I said, we were outplayed for 3 quarters, that doesn't mean we can't discuss the umpiring....

Umpiring in those conditions is difficult ... I have done it many times myself. Bound to be some mistakes.

I don't think the Naughton call was one of them. McComb was 50/50, could have gone either way.

The number of goals we missed from very close range (goal square, within 10 metres) should have sealed it earlier

So there were some poor calls both ways in the wet... "to the conspiracy thread"

yeah fair enough.

just that dumb flipping decision both players desperate in final minutes of a tight game both players with eyes on the ball and there is little bit of contact so he thinks he has to blow his flipping whistle and destroy the game for all us watching. it was clearly play on... so flipping incompetent with no feel for the game. as bad as the dissent call last week.

But you are right this is the wrong thread for my whinge.

I'm just sick of umpires ruining close games at the end with nothing free kicks... Sydney v Port we saw it too.

Just let the flipping players decide. not phantom soft free kicks.its hard to watch.

sorry to derail thread.

It's probably a 50/50 decision. It's not an absolute howler and honestly probably makes up for the non Hannan freekick earlier in the goal square

Could have been let go but it's also not a horrible decision. Can't just put the whistle away because it's late in the game. If it's there, you pay it. That's how I always umpire, regardless of the state of the game

I have to admit that was a bad decision. Should have been play on and would have been 19 times out of 20.

The dogs want to claim the Hannan legged free. Okay, fair enough. But then toy have to take a goal off Naughton as Lobb literally grabbed Balta's arm and held it to stop him from impacting a contest.

Blatant hold.

Did you go back to search for footage of the entire game and this was the best you could come up with? ******* lol.

No, this is one I puleld up immediately as it happened.

If Samson Ryan did this to Jones for Lynch to mark, Dogs fans would be foaming at the mouth.

It would have been a softer free kick than the McComb one, and you can't even tell in the footage who held who (if any) it was that soft and quick. Balta was nowhere near that contest, he was trying to keep Lobb out of it not running towards the hole to spoil. If you want to nitpick why don't we bring up the Lynch shephard/tackle on Jones in the goalsquare towards the end of the 2nd quarter?

Just a pathetic attempt at trying to find an excuse for your team not being good enough yesterday. Not evidence of a conspiracy for the Bulldogs/against the Tigers, despite your wishes.

That too high free right in front of goal in the last when game is in the balance two players collided both going for the ball.

Absolutely *ing pathetic.

Umpires can just ruin games like that.
It is very frustrating, dogs were the better team and deserved the win however that decision effectively ended it for us. Just such a shit decision, thought the naughton one was poor as well although they missed the ankle tackle for them so can’t complain too much.

It was flagged very early that the Bulldogs would suck without the massive Free Kick Differential advantage.

Well, they haven't had their Free Kick Differential advantage, and they suck.
And yet ... GC is much worse with a positive differential

Moral of the story .. differentials mean diddly squat mongbean

Or... we're not playing well enough to be in the position to earn them.

Still wanting that Royal Commission?

And yet the Bulldogs beat Brisbane and Richmond. Did you notice how Port lost the free kick count 32-22 against the Swines? Seems like there's no correlation except in your imagination.
