Hahahaha so true

To give cho his credit he played Finnis and the board on a break. Made em look like fools. That's the biggest story out of this whole debacle.

Can't wait for us to appoint the next neeld

Finnis came from the Player Association and was a really sensible administrator and operated with an eye on the commercial realities of the league. He came to St Kilda with no real experience and went quickly into trying to do big ticket items that appealed to the fans like bringing us home to Moorabin, after the last lot shat on us by sending us to Seaford.

He had to strike while the money was there on that because he timed it to perfection getting AFL and government/ council money. He tried to get a VFL and womens team at the same time. His biggest **** up was having no idea about on field stuff. To him it looked like Richo was moving up, last year was the lift of the blanket that showed them what was really happening with Trout and Richo.

In an ideal world all our energy would have been put into on field success and the money and better players would have come with it.

He still had the spend on the onfield. So its not like the football dept was mutually exclusive because moorabbin was happening.

He came to our club to be part of the rebuild to get our next flag. He didn't come to implement a construction project and that's it.

He hasn't been able to get it done. Just like richo hasn't been able to. Time to cut our losses with both and move on.

We need a CEO who knows how to drive this side to play finals by finding the right people to do it.

If he stays we will get the same results we have seen for the last 6 seasons moving forward. Albeit he will bail like ameet did before the shit hits the fan.

Was Finnis responsible for appointing Lethlean?

Genuinely don’t know how the hierarchy works and who is accountable for what beyond senior coach and win loss.

That's what we do at our club now.

Richo: 2014 - Present
Finnis: 2014 - Present

No finals. But don't worry if we wait. They'll get it done. We just need to be more patient. They just need to focus on the on field now that moorabbin is done.

9 players with less than 20 games.

Should have won by 20 goals...
I agree with you most of the time but if you're implying that we are unhappy because we only just scraped by a shit team whereas we really shouldnt expect more because we are a young team, then speaking for myself I don't really mind the result.

I do mind the style of play, the constant skill/decision application, the reverse development or undevelopment of many of the players we've recruited, most of which is an indictment on the coaching. All of the above can't be erased by a come from behind win.

I'm happy we've got heart, but there's no hiding from it: We need more than heart.

Can we have a poll. Is there anything more boring than you knocking finnis from 3000k away. I vote no.

Let’s do some logic here. Equating finnis to winning and being no good at his job is interesting. The worst 2 ceo we have had in 20 years are nettlefold and Fraser. That had a better winning record. Their problem was the club was nearly stuffed. Get your votes in.

In 10 years time when people look at our results at round 12 we will be 6 and 6. Spin anything you like. Nothing changes 6 and 6. Boring

I've tried to talk some sense into some people here plugger but unfortunately I don't think we can defend Richo for yesterday's performance. It was as bad as we've played in a very long time. Might be the players and injuries which are both valid points but at the end of the day it's the head coach who is responsible when they come to a decision on his future. It bloody hurts watching us put up performances like that.

I’m different to you. In the end it was a great win. Never looked like winning but should have won by 3 goals in the end. The other thing I’m different to you about is overating what a coach can do. Our skills today were d grade ammos. Coached can’t fix skills. That happen as kids yet we draft them. Explain how a coach can help whites last kick or membery. Coach killers but who cares. We won. We are 6 and 6. Way ahead of most people’s ledger coming off 30 degrees in chine then 26 in Townsville with 5 out of last years 7 top b and f voters. Want examples what injuries can do. Watch the tigers game again. Spoke to Dimma today and without saying it he said sides need their best players. It’s spin when they say it gives others a chance

Why does distance matter?
Would his concerns be more valid if they were only 8kms away?

Yes because they would most likely know more. Do you really reckon the ceo should be blamed for our poor form. Actually the poor form was last year. If finnis was in charge when Archie or nettlefold were there I think we would be greatly better off yet we were a much better side. Finnis stuffed up extending richo. No doubt but he has been fantastic for the club. Moorabbin has a great atmosphere

Well I strongly disagree that coaches can't fix skills but yes our recruitment hasn't been great for a while either.

What is really worrying is that we 'never looked like winning' as you say. We have injuries but so do they. Both teams traveled to Townsville. Maybe in a few days after collecting my thoughts my opinion will change, and I'm glad we got the win in the end but to kick 2 goals in a half against a side sitting second bottom with 8 straight defeats is unforgivable really. Second half is much more what I expect from the side and look what happened. We came back from 31 down and won it. It's like two different football teams out there. There was a lot riding on this in terms of staying in the hunt for the eight so it really was make or break stuff. A game we simply had to win and (for the first half at least) the players didn't show up and that concerns me.

Anyway I don't want to spend too much time on it, it was bloody horrible.
