I just shake my head at Sharrod.

Surely he's on his last warning/chance now, there was that drink driving incident a few years ago (he was moving Buddy Franklins car while pissed), and now this.

He may well be the uncontracted player that ends up at GWS.

He has to dig deep now and perform, or else.

I agree 100% but will he?

Yes, once we saw Reiwoldt go down, we ALL thought it would mean we'd pump St.Kilda.

Fact is, we didn't. St.Kilda became unpredictable and our defense didn't know what to do without Reiwoldt there. Then it was obvious to anyone with a brain, that when an integral part of the opposition forward line is removed it throws all your careful planning out of whack.

The St.Kilda game could have been used as an invaluable learning tool for the coaches to have a contingency plan in case something like that happens again.

Instead, we lost a Grand Final because our 'master coach' didn't learn from a mistake he made a year and a half prior.

What makes it more shameful on Malthouse? TARRANT WAS FREED UP AS A RESULT. So when Hawkins started to cut loose, we had a plug there sitting on his arse that could have prevented that happening and yet for some random reason unknown to everyone except Malthouse and God himself, he left a one legged Reid on Hawkins.

Yeah, awesome.

I'm sorry, while winning the flag has made me a more positive Collingwood poster, my stance on Malthouse has always been, and always will be steadfast.

Shocking tactician, shocking trader, good with his players on a personal level and good at setting up a football department. That's my stance on him. Hecne why the director of coaching role was created for him, because Eddie knew Mick would be brilliant at it. But Mick being the petulant, selfish child he is, chose to turn down the role.

This post is strange...

Heres a few names for you.
Darren Jolly
James Clement
Ben Reid
Paul Medhurst
Luke Ball
Brodie Holland
Shane Wakelin

Not the worst trading history with some guns there. And to suggest MM is a bad tactician is ridiculous. Any coach that wins a grand final has to be good at what he does.

This is one of the most delusional and offensive tirades I have ever had the misfortune to read. I appreciate that you are entitled to your opinion but to denigrate Malthouse in this manner is pathetic. He has worked tirelessly over the last 12 years despite poor health and personal tragedy. He developed one of the best lists in the competition and delivered the dream of a flag after 20 long years. I have no doubt that he did his absolute best last season, all true Collingwood fans should have nothing but respect for the man. At Collingwood we stand side by side. Perhaps you should think about that.

We do Respect Mick but he was not Perfect

Who is perfect?

I was just making the point that he did a lot for us, it is very easy to kick a guy in retrospect. It is time to move on and enjoy the good times to come.

Awesome first show, until that tosser weller showed up with his shit character. Ban that *** wit and we have a show that all other fans cream about there own clubs doing some day. The Age had a great article the other day, plans of the pies own station on fox, This will take this club over the edge. Other clubs would be foolish not to notice of how the pies go about there business.

Forget it, nevermind. I don't want to piss off the mods more than I have in the past.

On topic though, I thought the show was great. Teared up when they kept showing Nick Maxwell with his head in his hands.

Yeah, the looks on the players faces, especially Maxy, Dawes and Sidebottom, along with the sniffing as they were dragging back the tears, made me very emotional.

Losing a GF is devestating for us fans, but the loss is truly heartbreaking for the players.

speaking of bad, how was that dorothy dixer laden interview with hirdy on the hanger? it was like a friggen zoot review.[/quote]

Agree. Like a Brand Power ad for Essendon!

By the way, do you know who is behne JAM TV (the business producing Club, and I think EMT on Fox Footy?) Is it McGuire Media?

Hope next weeks edition isn't as depressing as last night's.

Mick's speech after GF loss
Macaffer's knee
Wellingham f**king up

* If Straughnie is on every week, i'll stop watching. It was funny 5 years ago

i dont think it was ever funny, but thats what you get from someone like Pete Helliar or anyone else connected with Rove. the only laughs they get are there own ones.

other than that the show was good, nice to see the Cafs knee surgery, and wish they had somone other than Michael Christionsen hosting.

Stirring stuff from Mick. Was a great moment I thought.

Watching the pain with Maxy's head buried in his hands really burnt.

Hopefully that pain and heartache will fuel our season 2012- and clearly it is impacting on him with the way he is preparing himself for round 1 (apparently left the season launch early to attend to his recovery- which is why he is captain because he leads by example).
