I did hear Primus talk about Brett in an interview the other day where he basically said Brett had had a shocker of a year off field with injury (knee), and some heart condition which has prevented him training for periods of time.

lul wut?

I think you will find that it was more a lingering virus and tonsilitis rather than a heart condition.

everytime I see this thread I think of Benjamin Button for some reason

not that I've ever seen that movie

me, too :D

Benjamin starts off old and gets younger as he ages ... Kane needs to do that so we get 2004 vintage Kane again?

Ah, no it's not a "flat out lie". Kane is regularly on 10 news without any Port gear on.
ive lost count the amount of times ive seen him doing a segment on the news or other interview where theres no Port logos to be seen.

I watched the replay of the Port v Melbourne game last night and saw Kane in a cross to the crowd.... i had to double take so i rewound it and paused it...

Yes it was definitely Kane Cornes and yes he was definitely in civilian clothes.. and not 1 bit or Port Adelaide clothing on him at all

IMO thats incredibly poor and should not happen.

I did see him in the PAFC hoodie. He must have taken it off. Regardless, I've seen him twice now at Port games wearing the hoodie when every other player has been in the club suit.

Youre right. It's poor. It smacks of a "I'll do what I want" attitude.

yes exactly

I walked past both Ben Newton and Daniel Webb after the game in the carpark. They were both dressed up in suits black suits with white shirt and PAFC ties.
They looked very professional

Surely the elevated heart rate would be caused by the virus.

Yar, sounds like he had the flu, I think all Primus was saying there was that it meant he was then unable to train/play to his full potential because he'd be getting tired earlier for the month or so he had the virus. That on top of missing most of pre-season really was like a cluster**** for him.

Hey Spadge I thought Kane was wearing a PAFC hoodie? Nevertheless he wasn't in a suit and all players not playing should be in a suit where possible.

I too have seen Kane on the news many times without any PAFC logos to be seen. Not good enough. A reflection of attitude? You'd have to think so.

Yes he was, I walked past him at one point and he was definitely wearing the new black PAFC 1870 hoodie (I noticed because I was wearing the same thing). I can see why it would look like civilian clothes on TV, but it wasn't.

Although I do agree that he should be wearing Port gear at all times when doing something relating to the club.

Nobody who says he's happy to win a premiership for Glenelg next year loves the club with everything he has.

agreed. Not because it's Glenelg, he just seems to be happy playing reserves and not giving a shit.

Like I said, sooner he goes the better for everyone at the club

When you hate someone it is easy to turn everything they say into a blight on them isn't it.

The guy is looking at the bloody positives of the situation, it was clearly a light hearted comment (I could be wrong as I didn't see it, but I seriously doubt it) saying that he will still be happy even if he doesn't get games for the Power. Obviously he will be shattered to be out of the AFL, but winning a SANFL premiership with your old man's old club is hardly the pits.

**** me dead...

Lurk3r, what was your view of the time Andrew Jarman declared in the media that he was more than happy to play for Norwood over the Crows when he was still on the Crows list?

If you want the honest answer I would have said "who is Andrew Jarman?".

Has a bit of that feel to it
