Personally didn't think we were superior. We played terribly. Our worst game of the season in many, many ways. I think you guys were great and have a very exciting future but I hope you don't think you matched it with our best.

Far from clearly superior, to me it was one of those games where the mature bodies and experienced heads were going to be the difference.

Dogs were shell shocked early and made the most common mistake young teams make when nervous ...trying not to make any mistakes. It really seemed like after being down 5-6 goals they just went **** it and started running, attacking in numbers and moving the ball quickly.

Put Minson in that team and it goes very close to the other way.

Johnson for us was fantastic, his ability to get to the incoming ball ...the man would be a great snooker player.

Dogs must take tremendous confidence out of that, Freo take 4 points but rest assured we are very, very mortal.

Your goal kicking was certainly as good as it was going to be. 14.4 is accuracy that's hard to replicate.

Why can't we beat Sydney at the G? We got within 15 points of you in 2013 and Sydney got smashed last year. Logic would suggest we are more than a chance, especially if we can manage our team going into finals rather than fight for home ground advantage.

You could certainly win against either team, and if you did it would be more than deserved, its just i think hawks and sydney are much more used to the G and play it a bit better than Freo.
Sydneys performance in the GF last year was an outlier, their a much better team than that, id probably put them equal favourites with you guys if they get up this week, they are a very strong side.

I think there needs to be some clarification in saying "superior". When the game is to be won, yes. When a lead is in place its a conscious choice to not bring that. Because extrapolating to a season you can not realistically be superior in 4 quarters all 22 games. There is no point to do anything but bank wins, nothing more to prove before finals.

When the game is in the balance Fremantle are superior. Results speak for themselves honestly. The stats are relevant and telling unless you're the sort to ignore evidence.
