Were you there? Just curious what sort of crowds that league gets these days.
I was at Corowa v Lavington. Big Easter crowd at Corowa, probably 6 or 7000.
Where's Jed lamb at?
Was probably wise of him to take the money and run.
I miss mummy tho. Particularly in the gf, would have definitely taken on the role of enforcer

Mummy's body only allows him to be at his best in the first 5 rounds. He can't keep it up for a full season.
Jed Lamb has done well with this contract money wise.
Problem is his footy career has taken a hit!
What about Mal?
Early days yet but poor Mal would be scratching his head thinking about the "what ifs" afte the first two rounds.
Never forget this! Match winners command the big money! Buddy is a match winner. He won us at least 4 last year & has already won us round 1.
It wouldn't have been right to match any offer for Mal or Mumford. Let em go!

What about former coaches, pretty rare to have 3 active coaches who have coached our club in the comp. Jeans and joyce would of coached the same time, northy hafey, walls, parkin, anyway.
All 3 took the swans to a grand final too.
Eade seems under the pump already i think he gets a bum rating from some swans fans, i still have a lot of time for him. But he would want to start winning.

I'm sure Mal had no illusions about the difficulties from transitioning from one of the best defences in the last decade to one of the most inexperienced. Come back after another 20 games before passing judgment
Similar to Jessie White.
Different set of circumstances as they couldn't break into the side & left for more opportunity rather than money.
I actually wish them all well but of them all, I have no bad feelings towards Mal as he has given wonderful service. He is a confidence player so I hope this GC rut doesn't affect him after being around a strong group for so many years.
As long as we don't fall off as a club, they all have my blessing.

My Everett thoughts are that he was pretty consistent in his last year with us playing 20 games. He'd more or less cemented a spot down back and was on the rise. Of course how far he could have gone is the question, though he's doing better than Jesse White, has played more games but is more than a year younger. His 100th is about to come up ! Andrejs has speed, spot on disposal and height on his side, though at 194cm and less than 90kg he's no hulk. Interestingly he kicks almost as many goals now as Jesse despite being primarily a defender with some run-with roles. I was sad to see him leave as I thought he'd finally found his role down back. He was also a useful swingman. A beautiful long kick who could goal from outside 50m, he still pumps plenty of inside 50s. I think Carlton got a good trade out of him but I realise we had to do some house cleaning to bring in the big guns. Shame he went to a dud team.

I hope Dick has good length and penetration and doesn't balls it up with his foot skills

Carlton could insert Dick late in the game, particularly if it's wet. A fresh Dick could be just what Carlton needs, but when he comes he needs to come hard and fast. How are his ball skills ? His tackle ? Can Dick play inside ? Can Dick fill a hole down back ?
Dick needs to show his hardness. I want to see Dick in the faces of the opposition at every opportunity.
