It's because we adjust to the scoreboard and time of game. They need to break it down to Collingwood when leading. Collingwood when behind and vary it for each quarter.
Exactly
Why give stats that average out our different phases of gameplay?
All that matters is our stats when we are on blitz

I was one of those guys who was thinking the club should choose Freddie but I've settled on Billy-Bob. Remember when he injured his groin mid year. He was considered a significant loss.

exactly this.

changing your game style based on scoreboard and/or momentum and/or point of time in the game is a key driver in how a number of those stats - in terms of gross or net numbers - can play out over the course of 2 hrs.

italian national team would take the lead and then would park 2 buses (not the 1), could care less how little possession of the ball they maintained, how many shots from outside the box you attempted, how many fouls they committed ..as long as the scoreboard remained in their favour.

footy is clearly a lot easier to score but the game has, tactically, continued to evolve down that path.

It's so bloody nice to be in a grand final. I love it that we're the centre of attention. All the rituals and parties, the houses decked out in Black and white. It's a great time to be a Collingwood supporter
I've converted three English mates and one Canadian. They all love Collingwood now.
They love AFL.
One of them has a 120 inch screen. A whole wall. Watching it there with them on Saturday morning. 11:30am start here.
The red wine will be flowing.

Wearing a black and white scarf into work tomorrow, etc.

The aura around the week is always good fun.

Reckon those that lived that day in 2018, will have a point to prove.

I hope so Jen.

Those of us who lived through GF losses always expected the players to bounce back for the next one. But it didn’t happen in the 70s, 80s or early 2000s.

But rather than be negative about it, I have a strong sense that this team, and the club right now, are different.
