I hope I'm wrong but the Frampton inclusion makes me feel the focus for Saturday is on countering Brisbane's game rather than playing ours.
Speed and dare, particularly out of the back half, put us on top of the ladder.
I'm gutted for Johnny. Massively underrated.
I just don't think you can discount the sheer flexibility Frampton provides.
- Straight swap for McStay in the same role
- Second ruck and throw Mason into permanent full forward
- throw him back to help with Daniher/Hipwood and throw Howe forward
- He plays an absolute fu**king shocker in all of the above? Sub him out for some run, no harm no foul
Lippa or JFN?A friend of mine thinks there will be a surprise with the sub, given fly's words on radio. Fy wasnt happy with our style, and my friend thinks fly wants to increase scoring, so wouldn't be surprised if they bring Ginni into the 22 and make someone else sub.
We'll see tomorrow
Ginni is a perfect sub I reckon. I’d like to see him stay in that role.A friend of mine thinks there will be a surprise with the sub, given fly's words on radio. Lippa sub, bring fresh legs on is what my friend is suggesting. But just speculatingLippa or JFN?
Might work actually. Have him sub. A fresh Lipinski might not look so slow after everyone else has played 3 quarters in the heat! LolLippa sub, bring fresh legs on is what my friend is suggesting. But just speculating
That wouldn’t surprise me if Lippa were the sub with Ginni onfield. Wouldn’t mind Ginni out there as well, he makes things happen.A friend of mine thinks there will be a surprise with the sub, given fly's words on radio. I’ve changed my prediction. Collingwood to win.
Some strange coincidences regarding the umpires;
- Since 2016, Meredith has umpired 6 Prelim Finals with 5 of those 6 Prelim Finalists going on to win the Premiership.
- In the same time frame, Stevic has umpired 7 Prelim finals with only 1 of those 7 going on to win the Premiership in the end.
- Gavine has umpired one Prelim final (Geelong last year) who went on to win the Premiership.
- Findlay umpired 1 Prelim final where the winner of that Prelim did not win the Premiership.
Meredith and Gavine both umpired Collingwood last week which would be a good omen for them.
Thankyou, random Carlton supporter. We’ll take anything!Sorry to interrupt your thread but does anyone here believe in good omens?
Either would work. But trust they'll know whats best. That wouldn’t surprise me if Lippa were the sub with Ginni onfield. Wouldn’t mind Ginni out there as well, he makes things happen.
It will be an interesting call.
It does make sense to bring Ginni in. We are potentially losing 2 goals with McStay out, and I'm not expecting Big Bill to score goals, I'm expecting him to provide opportunities for others to score goals. So Ginni in does make perfect sense in that scenario.A friend of mine thinks there will be a surprise with the sub, given fly's words on radio. More scoring the better, especially in a game like this.It does make sense to bring Ginni in. Trust in FlyI don't agree with Frampton in.
Cox is our best ruck we don't want him perma forward , big O slaughtered Cameron last time , hate to think what he'll do to Frampton.
Frampton looked all at sea in defence when we played Brisbane at Marvel , made some terrible turnovers with his ball use .
The problem with the just sub him out line is the game may be gone, the damage done by the time we sub him
Anyway it is what it is now , i don't like it but go pies

It's because we adjust to the scoreboard and time of game. They need to break it down to Collingwood when leading. Collingwood when behind and vary it for each quarter.Fascinating stuff. They really haven’t been able to ‘nail’ us.
