Good concept, bad design...but it will look a hell of a lot better if we beat the dons!!

Still looks better than our Hawthorn strip a few years back for the centenary game

Still shake my head how we ran out in that strip.

It was our jumper I guess back then but gee everyone associates us with the sash and if you're gonna commemorate Richmond's 100 year history, the sash was the jumper to wear.

We were 5 goals down before we ran out onto the ground that day.

Haha,so true.

We will love the jumper then.

At least it retains the sash.
It probably would look better if the design on the sash extended onto the black of the jumper.

P.S. on second thoughts,no it wouldn't.

I love the look on Jack's face.

Priceless!

P.P.S. I've actually seen the video of Richo with the girl who designed the jumper and it looks way better on that video.

It has more of the darker yellow of the old sash in it.

If we beat the Bombers,I will request us to wear it for the rest of the year.

Lol, hellelujah! :thumbsu: :D

I died a little bit inside that day, since I didn't even know we were going to be wearing a different jumper for the game! Then when they ran out, thought I was at the wrong venue.

HA HA!!! Yep, I actually yelled out" c'mon hawks!" at one point, still feel a little bit sick.
I dont know - did the Tigers have that stripes guernsey in earlier years ? where did it come from? Boo. I say, even if there was some reason.

as to the new effort I quite like it, though it is flipping embarrassing that our recent Indigenous players have buggered off.

? do Edwards, Rance identify heritage or blood? though i remembered summat???

anyway, if we dont sign up someone (or if TT doesnt return a superstar) its time for us to pass along the centre stage, Indigenous Learning Centre or no, the game has moved on and we do not appear to be leading the way.

( Ive reasoned myself out of putting a tenner on us for an upset, but looking fwd to having egg on my face if we get up! )

Hmm I do not know what to think..

But will there be no stock at all on the Saturday, is says strictly limited so wonder if theres any at all. As I will be at the ground quite early so if there are some available I can make a decision on it in the flesh...

Thanks RFCO

I think it's great!

Agree. Me too.

The design and meaning behind it is great and I embrace it. Good on the club for doing it. It's far more constructive to raise funds for our indigenous programs than blindly sell it for commercial selfishness as some other clubs have done.

KooGa also did some fantastic designs for the NRL Indigenous All Stars game in February. They really are progressive in jumper design.

Having lived for a little while now in a country that embraces it's indigenous culture to a far greater degree than Australia does, to the point of even singing their national anthem in Maori, I'm all for using our indigenous game as a way in which we can further embrace and be proud of the oldest indigenous culture on the planet.

Why dont we just go all the way,cut the cheeks out of the the ars of the shorts and hang a snake out !

It's comical!

Agreed... and why the goal umpires don't still wear trench coats and brimmed hats any more is beyond me :p

We have around 1500 so yeah, you'll be able to check them out at the Store on Saturday. They do look good in the flesh
