That time of year again where we get a summary of our existence.. i never tire of those
I don't mind. The best sporting movies are the ones where the underdog overcomes immense adversity and criticism to finish in a glorious win that inspires and brings tears to the eyes. Freo's time will come and it will be beyond great.

I have 3 sons, 2 of which flew to Geelong in 2013 and still revel in the Pavlich spoil and Hill goal. I have instilled in them the struggle that is being great.
They have also seen the down times and understand if managed correctly is only fleeting.
I now have 3 sons and when we raise the cup I have promised they will be there. This is going to be very special. Far more than the silver spoon brigade. This will be a flag built on persistence and will lay a foundation.

I really love this post.

The thought of being at the MCG with my mum and 2 brothers when we win that flag sustains me.

To tie in with Clarke 2 Fyfe, I can show a tale of why I have patience and stubbornness.

Being a supporter of the Black Ducks, I had a miserable school life back in the ‘70’s. The Ducks were terrible and I was the butt of jokes from Perth, East Perth & Claremont supporters, they really stuck the boots in.

Fast forward to the ‘80’s and players like Baker, Narkle, Langford, Nowotny, Shine, Neesham, Big Roo etc, blossomed. Was I in heaven !!!!!!, 3 in a row. Let’s just say I did tell some of my old school foes, to shove it.

I can see light at the end of the tunnel, just tell any “lemon suckers” to POQ.

Yep, like most of us Duff has a boss and he has to work in an Eagles dominated environment. When let off the leash after the Gaff incident he didn't miss the Eagles, he was brutal.

I don't always like what he writes, but in this town it's as close a we're going to get to impartial.

What's wrong with David Prestipino?

Yep, lots of respect for Duffield.

So Liam Ryan has a court date for drink driving in October. Nice of the WA media not to report on this through the season. Karma i guess it comes out just before the GF.

In all seriousness I hope this isn’t just an Eagle trend but a new trend across the AFL.
People still deserve some privacy.
Lessons can be learned from Yarran incident.

Do you lose your licence if you're over 0.08. Maybe they helped delay the court case till after the season so that he could drive to training/airports etc. Choosing the blood test, if that was his option, rather than the breath test at the scene of the accident seemed to have help slowed down the procedure anyway.

Not karma but genius if WC had anything to do with it, everyone is distracted by the gf couldn't come out at a better time - very suspicious.

We have made some very bad decisions over the years but worth pointing out we were really set up to fail at the outset.
And maybe still are set up to fail. Not convinced Rosich isnt an Eagles plant and Bell penciled for CEO before Bond booted. No evidence they even contacted Balme, who knows with kids independent maybe wanting to come back home with the right offer?

I’m thinking that the media got hold of this and West Coast had no choice but to release a statement to save face. Poor ole drink drivin Ryan.

If the media keep to these standards, I'm happy, but it's like umpiring, all we want is consistency.

Yep, mid-range drink driving - probs 3-4 month license disqualification
