3 games clear with a game in hand and Vuck back to the bottom. Nice.
9 points, a 1-0 lead in the delayed derby and a +13 Goal Difference.

It's at the point now with 2-4 dropping points almost each week that 43 points would probably be enough. A win over Adelaide in Friday night would pretty much stich it up

Ade away will be tough.
A win over the MV catchup should do it?

Aiden O'Neill to the rescue yesterday. A bit like Roy Keane as a box to box midfielder and able to score key goals when we needed them.

First one was a rocket from outside the box

Then the near post run off the corner at the end of the game.

We are struggling big time up forward. Super frustrating that we make no subs when things aren't working. I know it's been that way for awhile but geez I don't understand why.

Losing Leckie has hurt more than I thought it would. Doesn't help that maclaren basically can't do anything with his broken toe. Tilio out of form and trying to do way too much most of the time. Nabbout trying hard as always.

The break will hopefully help and we can turn it back on. Some tough games coming up after newcastle. If Adelaide beat WSW then we will really be in for a fight at the top of the table.

And although my care for finals took a big plummet after the sale to Sydney I can't see us doing much there with this inconsistency.

I know it's not all doom and gloom but I can see this starting to slip away here.

It was insane the amount of times Macarthur got bailed out. There are times it happens, but just so rare that we couldn't find our way through and anytime we did it was a hairline decision waiting to overturn.

Still no idea how var overturned the penalty at the end of the game. There's no way you can definitively say that be the defender touched the ball, plus even in if he did - that doesn't give you the green light to plow through a player. You have to win the ball - not touch it.

Anyway, WSW and Adelaide play Friday night, a draw there or WSW win can see us rebuild our buffer.

But we do need Jmac to get healthy...

It's absolutely insanity how bad the reffing was today. Let's go of the cynical fouls but quick to pull the cards out. Jamieson made NO contact on the red but because the campaigner called it a 2nd yellow it doesn't get the var review. What's the point of having this system?

The penalty is a joke. Been over turning those decisions all year with var, but not today. After Macarthur got their asses saved 4 times with insanely close or invisible var interventions here's 2 more that didn't go out way today.

Nevermind the fact that were blowing pick the ball out of the net chances...

The last part is it for me. One point is a hell of a lot better than none, we weren't getting the rub of the green (to put it mildly), we're missing perhaps two of the best ten players in the comp to long term injuries... there's excuses. I just don't feel like hearing them.

Just one of those games that we should have found a way to scrape out the three points, another game where we've had double (or more) the shots on goal in the Rado era and have still been fortunate not to lose. I'm worried about the Victory game after this performance, even with the one goal headstart, I feel like I'd probably take the point as it stands.

It's too important to blow this chance. The championship is compromised with the decision to play it in Sydney: the Premier's plate should be the #1 prize. And while we can't currently put our best side on the pitch, we're still plenty good enough to keep our noses in front of Adelaide if we want it enough.

Disappointing result today, but well done on not giving in and getting the late equaliser. Beat Victory in a couple of days and it's going to be very hard for us to be caught.

Yep, spot on.

The way Adelaide are rolling, they could win out or go close.

We've still got to go to CCM, and finish at home against CCM. We've also got tricky games against WU and Wellington. The way we are playing and the form of the rest of the league there is no bankers there.

So for me it's 3 points or bust on Wednesday night. We'd have a 5 point lead and atleast a 12 goal difference lead. So you'd still need to find another 7 points (2 wins and a draw) in the last 4 games.

Unfortunately the injuries are piling up and the form is wobbly.

Wasn't perfect, but what a huge win. Still plenty to fix, but with a five point break and a handy GD buffer, it'll take a practically flawless finish to the season by Adelaide, unless we completely fall over. 4-6 points from our last four should be enough and more than that is mathematically impossible territory for us to be overtaken.

One hand on the plate now, we'd be the first club to threepeat and moves us level with Victory in equal second all time.

If we can go on and win the plate and get Leckie and van der Venne back for the finals campaign I don't care where it's played, we're every chance to make it two doubles in three years too.
