Like most, I've been lucky enough to be at all 3, and as great as a Grand Final win is, nothing has come close to the sheer emotion and random man love after the prelim this year. As I was standing in my usual m10 it just went bananas .. Like what you would normally go through after a GF win... Will never EVER forget that night..

Two old grannies sitting in front of me gave me high fives on the final siren. Hugging strangers and big fist pumps everywhere!

Nice:thumbsu:

Just thought this is a nice addition:

Geelong's Joel Selwood after the loss to Hawthorn at the MCG....

Or well Mr Selwood you can't win them all;)

PS I loved this quote after the game:
"I don't know what to do. Usually I'm sitting at home having frothies on Grand Final day" - Brian Lake:D

How to torture a Geelong player - in particular Varcoe: tie him up to a chair and force him to watch this over...and over...and over...and over...

It shouldn't be that bad. People seem to look at the final margin of 5 points then at the fact Varcoe missed an easy shot at goal and then think "if he'd kicked that goal the Cats would've won by a point! derp!" when really it would've been a draw and, based on the game to that point, we would've run them down even further in the extra time.

Not to mention that we really should've been another goal up there right at the end if the siren could've been heard and Rioli was able to go back and take a shot. And then all the easy misses at goal all night. We really made that game difficult for ourselves lol

Yep, 4.8 to 1.1 in the last quarter.
If it had been 8.4 we would have romped it in.

But it wouldn't have been so satisfying.

And Varco would still be at Geelong!
