Now that we won can India kinda f*ck off out of the country now? Been nothing but whiners and complainers the moment they set foot in Perth.

What a Test debut by Webster.
History will say it was a 3-1 series win by us but it was a hell of a lot closer than that suggests. We probably executed just a little bit better than they did over the course of the series.
Funny series. Bumrah kept them in it but was also the only dominant player throughout the series. Head/Smith made runs but also had lean patches throughout as wellWhat a Test debut by Webster.

Ultimately it was our better bowling depth that won the series for us
Indians left too much to Bumrah and it eventually led to him breaking down in the 5th test
We were able to spread the load better. Having a bowler of Bolands quality in reserve is pretty handy
Massive massive dickhead
Jhye is talented, and I know his right shoulder is dodgy, but he's not ambidextrous. If Jhye can get fully fit (enough for test cricket) as a left arm option for when Starc isn't 100% it really in a terrific line up of quicks with depth.
So South Africa at Lords. That is going to be one hell of a match. The Saffers quicks are very good as well.

Reminds me of a story Richie Benaud told about an older SCG member who watched the game in the reflection of a large mirror in the bar. He thought Bradman was left handed for the first few years of his careerAm I on drugs?
Was sure Richardson is right handed

An incredible start to Gambhir's coaching tenure, hopefully he's there a long timePretty funny how quickly India collapsed out of the WTC race. They were in the box seat going into the NZ series, even with a tough series coming up in Australia. Losing 3-1 in Australia is defensible; getting swept at home by a rugby-mad country of roughly 1.5 billion fewer people is not.
Horses for courses is fine. But Handscomb aint that horse.

Playing the WTC every two years is too often. It allows for instance, South Africa to make the final without playing either of Australia or India.Pretty funny how quickly India collapsed out of the WTC race. Did you forget to ask for medium pressure?Apologies i'm losing it. Red wine and hot weather overnight.... No excuse but it's been a rough morning.

The opening positions are the most worrisome. I'm not at all concerned about the remaining batting positions, especially if Green is fit. As for the cartel, Cummins is still young ish and knows how to prepare himself. Hazelwood and Starc are slightly more concerning with another 12 months on the clock, but if Boland still does Boland things, and Richardson's sticky tape holds together, we might just be ok.Good to win, but unfortunately does nothing to dispel the more long term concerns. The reckoning may be arriving next summer, delivered by our friends over yonder. Oh well
Agree, I had the pitchforks out with most after Perth.Good to win, but unfortunately does nothing to dispel the more long term concerns. The reckoning may be arriving next summer, delivered by our friends over yonder. Oh well
3-4 years from now and I reckon it looks something like this:Agree, I had the pitchforks out with most after Perth.
Fair bit of wallpapering going up after this series.
The future XI is still anyone's guess and no one is smashing the door down

Edit: throw in my personal favourite Joel Paris, who for some reason never cracks a mention.
He unfortunately got injured at the wrong times of his career and sorta got consistent games in in his late 20’s and into his 30’s. I would love to see him play test cricket however, they now need to back in youth.Paris’ first class average is 19.47, which I’m pretty certain is the best of any bowler in Australia. It’s a crime that he doesn’t get more consideration.
