Two weeks in a row he’s dropped a gearbox.

The fact of the matter is that both Phillips and Logan McDonald are about equal in their meh-ness since they joined us and Sydney. Let’s just say neither of them have delivered to the level expected of such high draft picks. There’s still plenty of time for them both to turn things around. However, thus far, they’re not within a bulls roar of Sheezel and Wardlaw, who were drafted at similar stages. I have always liked Phillips. However, I have to admit that McDonald would have been closer to our needs. Right now, he would appear to have more upside. I hope I’m wrong. They were both part of the “Covid Draft”. That had a bearing, most likely.

I wonder whether Sydney are upping their training load to ramp up for finals? That usually seems to be the go for teams who are in strong positions. They can easily survive dropping 3/4 games and still win the home/away.
