And they've won seven games in 2023, with five more games against sides outside of the 8, so was a decent chance of doing even better this year.

Dimma would be close to a certainty. No coincidence he's apparently said he'd take a call from the Suns just after they've sacked Dew

In terms of sacking the coach of a team on the rise, it reminds me a bit of the Dean Bailey sacking. Melbourne had been in the top 8 three weeks earlier, and they went into that Geelong game with 7.5 wins out of 16 games, a vast improvement on where they had been. It took them another five years to have that many wins in a season.

It could be a stroke of genius, but it could be yet another bad mistake from a club that is making a habit of it.

heard somewhere today…think it was abc 24 that the afl have been pumping in an estimated 30 million into the suns each year. what a joke…..
