Goad isn't anything to worry about, he has a greater output than Edwards and we all forget how long it took Gawn to come on.

Maley however is ready to go now. Dude has brilliant hands and his field kicking is pretty good too. Even had to go into the ruck and competed pretty well against a bloke who is firing. Makes me think of the Hawthorn game where Xerri needed a spell and we ended up throwing Larkey in the ruck, imagine if it were Finbar. No way he doesn't play before the bye.

As for the person on specials, boy I hope she is good at footy, because she sounds stupid.

Not really, most of them have been alright today especially in comparison to last week. GWS have some of the best depth in the comp because of tons of first round draft picks and academy

We've kicked 10 goals in every match except vs Brisbane, our issues are our midfield and defence. Though I do think the forward coaching has been abysmal this year, there seems to be no structure and there are multiple players trying to mark the ball

I meant today. We could have won the game easily. Kicking into the forward line seemed to just be bomb it long.
No Lowson, no North.

Watched the last quarter and a half.

Maley stood out. Strong hands, presents well and is athletic. Should debut in the next week or so.
Bergman and Archer were the others that impressed.
Shiels and Sellers played their role and didn't do their chances of selection any harm.
Stats look good for Taylor but I just don't see it. Lacks urgency and athleticism for a small.
Pink was serviceable but shouldn't be in line for selection anytime soon. Another who lacks the physicality required.
Hansen and Stephenson were ok when involved but don't do enough, particularly defensively.
Goad was bad but that's to be expected. A goal should be being able to give and receive basic handballs.
Didn't notice Free.

I'd be dropping some inquiries at the GWS reserves. They've got talent to burn.

Didn’t see the game but looks like Bergman and CT went alright? Wanna see Bergs in the seniors asap, and surely CT gets a few more games to see if there’s anything left? Can’t be too much worse than Stephens. Might lack his running power but he’s not soft.

CT stats weren’t indicative. Wasn’t poor, but his disposal and contested stuff was patchy.

Bergman was superb and did a lot of good defensive stuff. Archer was excellent and intercepted quite a bit today.

I watched it all and your comments largely mirror mine. Maley was good again. It was Archer’s best game and Bergman’s best defensive game.

The poor kid is over 2 meters and months into his career.

I was at the VFL and I just saw him make 2 momentum killing howlers and he looked out on his feet in the third.

He got rag dolled by an established ruck. A lot of the boys on the ground were telling him to “stand his ground”

Project player hopefully he gets the strength and confidence he needs to make it

Why wouldn’t you take a different approach. Forget playing this year, spend the next 6 months in extended physical development. Do training etc but make it a long boot camp. Or do a 4 week
Block of training, then play 4 weeks. Approach it differently to fast track him.

Did you happen to notice who his direct opponent for a lot of the day? I’ll give you have a hint…he was best on ground and more disposals than anyone else…

He made it on to the field, that puts him ahead of Preuss.

I said for a lot of the day….he spent stacks of time on Fahey and paid him no respect at all.

Got torched by Cumming off half back a few times too (and so did Stephenson)
