He’d be silly to stick around if he’s got goals to make it back to AFL level.

Have heard that Sam Hayes will be elsewhere in the VFL this year too. Probably would’ve got games next year with Free moving on and the injury concerns with CCJ.

There is plenty of young, delisted talent out there who I think are deserving of being on an AFL list. I hope we could potentially target 2-3 of them and have them play VFL with us. If they can get it together they can have their eyes on an SPP spot or MSD spot.

Some names that spring to mind: Oli Hotton (Saints), James Van Es (Saints), Matt Alison (Saints), Tom Scully

(Port) Jaxson Prior (Bris), Jayden Davey (Ess), Denver Grainger-Barras (Hawks), Jaiden Magor (Swans), Jai Culley (WC), Coby Burgiel (WC) and Charlie Clarke (WB)

All of the players above have plenty of talent but have either had injury issues or haven't been able to cement their spot in a senior side. A fair few of them are proven VFL performers too, so they'd contribute from the get go.

Interesting, in the SANFL in’s and out’s they don’t have Jack Watkins as an in for Port Adelaide yet. Wonder if he is non commital at this stage if he doesn’t get a senior list spot?

Might be focusing on teaching, he’s been part time at my wife’s school this year.

Possibly the other way as well that while the door is still open at AFL level there is no need to announce him as an inclusion to the SANFL side.

Agreed. We need a competitive two's team for our young fellas to develop in. We don't seem to be very active at all. Laz, Watkins, Greenwood, Lienert and I'm assuming Sellers all out. We were on the low end of being competitive with them.

Hes still coaching with us but I believe he is playing local footy next year

You make the same criticism every year.

They clearly put work in on the back end with very little prioritisation from the club in regards to announcing signings on socials.
