Am I the only one who enjoys watching state league footy more than AFL?

I would like to state openly that I never take pleasure in seeing any players suffering injury.

That includes Mitch Clark.

Like Lion Up, I reckon that Karma Bus has a nasty habit of reversing back over you when you least expect it.
Agreed luthor. I would never say it.

But sometimes it is really really hard to stop yourself thinking it at least for a couple of seconds.

Please karma bus dont stop at the Lions because I have posted this comment.

Whilst i would never celebrate an opposition players injury, i will admit to (on occasion) forming the considered medical view that said opposition players recovery from said injury would be most efficacious if said player did not return to the side until after they had played us.

Alternatively, i will hope said opposition player is fit enough to get through a full match (in the ressies), because you shouldn't take any risks with an injury like that.

Agree, and I bet he'd squeal like a little pig! ....but anyone else hurt in general play is obviously a different kettle of fish....Just got to feel so very sorry for them.

What if said player plays for a team that the Lions are due to play, and said player's injury means that Lions have a better chance of winning?

Tis no point in having a turncoat miss out on getting a flogging by us, nor giving their supporters the "if x was playing it would have been different" copout.

As to the original post - grow up. Would you have someone wish that on you? Jeez.

Is there a stat available for how many centre bounces a player attends? I'd be interested to see how many Moloney attends.

Also, despite the rhetoric about having lots of players to rotate through the midfield, I have a theory that some clubs send their best clearance players to almost every centre bounce. Mitchell and Sewell are a good example from the Hawks and, yesterday, I reckon it was quite rare for Thompson and Dangerfield not to be in the centre square for the bounce.

It would make sense... they can always rotate off after the bounce.

Did anyone see Neeld's address to his players for the game? My god, how uninspiring.

It was interesting hearing the thoughts of the SFS panel on his pre-game address...certainly didn't inspire them either after Hutchy asked the panel, something along the lines of; "you guys have witnessed thousands of pre-game addresses, would that speech have inspired you"...then the sounds of birds chirping (not really, but might as well have been) and panel members with a blank look on their faces and then Crawford saying "mistakes do not matter" (in reference to a quote on the white board)...uh, sorry Mark, but they do....very entertaining.

And the Don McLardy interview...he is seriously in way over his head...clueless.

Um ... where can I find this? (Can't even figure out what SFS is which is probably not helping!!!!)

Sorry Viceregal, Sunday Footy Show (SFS). I also saw the same footage on channel 7's Gameday (who were given the access last night) and Fox Footy have also replayed it. Should be out there somewhere (AFL website) or After the Bounce might show it again on their show if you have Fox.:thumbsu:

I'm guessing we shouldn't ask *why* she has a yellow - so more generically ... for what kind of infractions would one become such a golden child?

Yeah, that's not a conversation that we should go into in any depth because context changes from situation to situation but take a look at the site rules where there is a bit of a guide to infractions built in. Just note that the rules are in the process of being updated.
